Toby is a very sweet boy, he love's to get in his bed with his teddy bear and be covered up at night. He is housebroken and crate-trained. Good with strangers, children, other dogs and cats. As most older furbabies Toby is on medication for his Thyroid and Heart but is doing great on them. He is alittle pudgy due to his medications but watching his food intake and short walks during the day help to keep him healthy and will enable him to keep his weight lower. Toby springs to life when the doorbell rings or when he knows he is going outside for a potty walk, other than that he prefers to sleep most of the time. He is very kind hearted and just loves to follow his foster mommy around the house to get any kind of attention he can from her. Although Toby is good with everyone he would be most suited to a life where he is the only one, where things are calm and quiet so he can enjoy himself in peaceful solitude.

Wilson: 12 year old chocolate/tan male, neutered, docked tail, natural ears, 15 lbs, shots up to date
This great looking boy is Wilson. Please know that Wilson maybe 13 years old, but he is full of life. Can you believe he can tell time? Every morning at 6:45 he knows I need to sit to get my eye drops, and then off to my crate for breakfast. He then is in the kitchen at 5pm knowing time for dinner. Trust me if we forget he will remind us of what time it is .
Wilson does not do well with small children, but older children are fine. Our boy was a stray, then got a miracle and was adopted into a loving home, but alas for him they had a baby, and he could not adjust, so he came to live with me. This boy does great with recall, crate trained, and is house trained, if you take him out every couple of hours. But if you need to work, as his foster mom, he is crate trained as well. Wilson will sleep on his own bed in your room. He is not a big barker, and he loves affection. I know he is older, but he is just a great boy, hoping someone will see him, and not just his age. Please look in your heart and see if you have room for a chocolate treat named Wilson.

Bogie: 3 yr old black & rust male, neutered, docked tail and natural ears. 14½", 15 lbs. Shots up to date. Housebroke.
Bogie is a very playful and loving guy. Bogie loves to run and it's a treat to watch him. He's very fast and graceful! He loves chasing birds & butterflies but isn't noisy about it. He does well with other dogs but tends to play rough therefore a home with smaller dogs wouldn't be the best. Bogie loves his toys and cheweezs and will chase a ball all day long. We don't know if he's been around kids so older children would be best. He's just such a happy boy he would knock a toddler over accidently.
Bogie is very affectionate and loves to sit with his people. When you come home he lets you know how happy he is by jumping straight up into the air!
He has not been socialized much so he tends to be leery of strangers and will bark and growl at them. Once he meets them he's best friends and wants them to play with him.
Bogie would be a wonderful addition to some lucky family.

Simon: 2 yr old black & tan male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 11", 10 lb. Shots up-to-date. Rescued from shelter.
Simon is a sweet loving boy with a few quirks. Simon loves to cuddle in bed, play in the yard, walk on a leash, take rides in the car, play with toys, and attack play with his food. He was found tied outside to a box at our local shelter on death row. The rescue worked long and hard over a 2-week period to get him out of the shelter. He was a stray no one ever came to claim. He is crate trained and housebroken, but will do competitive marking if another male is around. When I come home from work, he does a huge "leap of faith" into my arms, completely confident that I will catch him. He then likes to sit on my lap and get all the attention he can. He's an excellent lap dog and companion once he gets acclimated to his surroundings. Now for the quirks... Simon tolerates other dogs and cats but would be best suited as the only one. He can get a little testy with the other animals when he's feeling grumpy. Simon has been working very hard since he came in to rescue and is doing much better. I have a friend with 3 small children, and he does not bother them, even letting them pet him from time to time. I would suggest either muzzling him, or taking him somewhere to get his nails clipped as he does scream bloody murder and gets a little nippy during this process. Simon is very smart and understands several commands. You address him by name and follow up with "go to bed, go outside, go bye-byes", and when he's grumpy, gently touch his snout and says "Simon, use your words". I know it is weird, but it calms him down. Simon needs the right family who can take the time to understand him, continue training him, and love him. With patience and understanding, Simon is the perfect loyal companion. He's an odd duck with a few quirks, but that makes him more special. Simon says you will love him if you give him a chance. He has been in our home since May, and has seen many adoptions of other dogs take place. He will try to sabotage his own chances by being the world's largest turd, and doing whatever he thinks it will take for you not to want him. He has grown used to us, and us to him, but he really deserves a chance to have a furever family. Could you be that family?

Noodle: black/tan neutered male, docked tail, natural ears, 7.5 years old, 7-8 lbs.
Noodle is a little darling! At first meeting Noodle will bark a little and need to sniff and check you out but after a bit he will be on your lap wanting to be petted and held. He also loves to have his belly rubbed and will sometimes turn over when you go to pick him up as a reminder that it is time for one more rub of his belly. When you talk to Noodle he tilts his head to one side as if he is really tuning into what you are saying (once in a while it is nice to have someone listen and not talk back!). He seems to hate (who doesn't) thunder/lightning storms. Noodle likes to sleep in bed with us and the other furkids. He does like his crate so we leave the door of his crate open twenty-four hours a day and it is his choice where he relaxes and sleeps. Noodle gets along well with other small dogs. He does guard his food dish, he growls and stands over the top of it but won't hurt you as you can pick him up and the growling stops. If you don't have any other indoor animals than this is not an issue and if you do just work with him a bit to change this habit. We have been feeding him twice a day (breakfast and dinner) and putting the food dish away and that has been working. We believe that Noodle lived with dogs bigger than him and may have had to guard his dish to be able to get something to eat because the little guy was quite skinny when he came to us. Noodle is without a doubt a beautiful, endearing pin. If you are looking for a small, lovable lap dog then this is your boy. He will make a wonderful family companion. Update: Noodle has had a seizure since being in rescue and now requires a pill twice a day to keep it in check. After the vet put him on the medication he has never had another episode.

Miousekatier: 1-2 yr old black & tan female, spayed, undocked tail and uncropped ears. 9", 8 lb. Shots up-to-date. Rescued from shelter.
Miska Mouska Mousekatier! What a fun little girl, Mousey take about 10 seconds for her to warm up to you, but she is scared if asked to do something she is not sure about, found as a stray, we know nothing about her past, her trust will have to be earned with love, patience and understanding. She loves to playing with toys and other dogs (especially Jenny, her new best friend), and is inquisitive and energetic deer hopping & running like crazy all over the yard, sticking her nose in everything. As you can see she is a black and tan, but does not have the characteristic mask of most b&t minpins. Very pretty, tall & leggy yet petite. Her natural tail curves up over her back when happy (which is most of the time) & her ears are big and beautiful, and has a lovely minpin hackney gait. She loves to sit on laps or behind you on a chair for as long as you will let her or until she has a burst of minpin playing frenzy. Dingus is a senior boy who's figure has grown with age. He enjoys lounging around the house and taking occasional walks. He loves to cuddle on the couch or sit outside in the sun. He is easily startled by noises and reacts by barking. He would be perfect in a quiet, laid back household where he can receive all of the attention that he deserves. Dingus is crate trained, but prefers to roam the house freely. He is housebroken with occasional accidents when he is upset. He insists on sleeping with his special blanket or under the covers in his owner's bed. It takes him a while to warm up to new people and he is very protective of his family. He is currently in a house with small children, but would be better suited around adults only as he enjoys peace and quiet. He can get along with other dogs, but does not tend to want to be bothered by them especially if they are smaller than him. Dingus is looking for a loving home where he can receive the attention he deserves.

Schroeder: 3 year old, black and tan male, 12" height, 13 lbs, natural ears, docked tail. Schroeder came into rescue, abused, hurt, and emaciated when found by the shelter, who begged me to take him. Lord only knows what he had been thru. This poor boy has had a rough life, he has healed, gained weight, and is starting to trust humans again. He would much rather be adopted by a gentle all women household, he has problems with men, everytime my husband is playing with the other dogs, or raises his hand to pet (underhand is fine) Schroeder gets very upset, and wants to protect. He has come a long way, and would need a very understanding adopter. He must be leashed when visitors come to the door, and be introduced very quietly with lots of reassurance and treats. Otherwise Schroeder is a wonderful lap warmer, bed snuggler, and is really doing well on his house training. He loves to play with toys, squeekies are best, has a ball chasing thrown objects, not much for bringing them back, so I just gather a bunch and let him go get them. He is quiet in the crate, I feed him there, since he is always hungry and wants everyone's food. He will also sleep in the crate, but would much rather snuggle under the covers with you, and he is a great little heater. He would do well as the only dog, no idea how he would do with cats or children, so I will say no to both. Yes, he needs further socialization, training, and manners, but most of all needs someone to give him a chance to be the wonderful dog I know he can become. He is neutered, up to date on all shots & vaccines, & heartworm negative. Please contact me if you would like to be that person.

"Hi everyone my name is Twinky or Tink as my foster mom calls me. I am beautiful 5 year old red girl with natural ears and docked tail. I love to ride in the car and go for walks. Mostly I just like to relax and chill out with my people. I took over my foster mom's walk-in closet and turned it into my own personal hide-away. She gave me a big pillow to lay on so I am more comfortable. I like to lay in bed with her too but I like my closet more. Last month I was diagnosed with diabetes. I will be on insulin twice a day for the rest of my life but that's just a minor bump in my road. I feel like a young pup again. I also take glucosamine for my joints and am on a special diet prescribed my vet. Oh I do like cats. I won't chase them unless they run from me. Little kids are ok but I would prefer a house with out small kids. Other doggies are ok once I get to know them. If you would like to meet me I would love to meet you too."

Meet Sassy, the sassafrass girl. Sassy has taken leaps and bounds since entering her foster home. Sassy learned how to play with toys, but she so enjoys your companionship more. In the morning, she knows my routine and runs in front of me the entire way with not only her tail, but her entire body wagging in excitement because her foster mommy is awake and now it's time to play! Sassy absolutely loves to go on rides in the car and walks on a leash. Sassy likes other dogs, but can try to become dominant if you don't watch her. Sassy likes kitty cats, kids, and strangers. I don't think she's ever met a stranger. When anyone comes to the house she runs around, whole body wagging just waiting on attention. Sassy would be a perfect companion to anyone who wants unconditional love. Sassy is now housebroken and will go to the potty alone, but runs directly back to the door when finished. Meet Logan. Logan is a wonderful boy who loves to play and snuggle. We are working with him to get some more weight off, but a nice active home could continue to work with him. Logan is crate trained, house-broken, loves other dogs, doesn't mind the kitty, loves strangers & children of all ages. We are working on leash training him, but he just gets so excited to go on the leash that he doesn't know what to check out first. Logan came to us as a temporary hold, but his owner has decided not to come back for him. You won't find a more affectionate boy than our sweet Logie-Pie! Angel: 2 yr old black & tan female, spayed, undocked tail and uncropped ears. 13", 12 lb. Shots up-to-date.
Hi I am Angel, the sweetest girl who adores everyone except cats. I love playing tug of war and running. Running is my biggest problem. My family has a doggie door but I jump over the gate to the deck, where it is not fenced in so I get tied out front, which is fine; but I will dart out doors if I get the chance. I need a fenced in yard and a home that has a double door where I can't run out of. I am good with younger kids under 9 and older ones need need to walk slow and let me sniff that you are okay. When she met my husband she bit his elbow, but and ankle but didn't draw blood, he moved to fast. Now when people come over she does bark but quits when you tell her and even sits in their lap. She hates her crate but will stay in it & whine but she does okay out of it for a little time gone. She is house trained and is a great girl. Running is her only major issue and a tad high strung, but who isn't?

Everyone please welcome a little darling named Colt McCoy. Colt was a stray at a high kill shelter, and on his last day when call for rescue when out. I had a feeling I needed to save this boy. Colt has learned so many things in rescue, housetrained, crate trained, excellent recall, loves to sit with you, gets along with other furkids, loves children of all sizes. Would you believe he learned to fetch and drop it in 20 minutes? My Colt is a VERY special boy to me, and he has stolen my heart, but I want him to have his own family with children so he can be the love of their lives. This boy is not a minpin in the true sense,but what a gentle and loving boy he is. If you would meet him, you would fall in love with him as much as I have. The only things he does not like are cats and big dogs. Please consider giving Colt a chance to become your beloved companion.

Moses is a 6 year old, 5lb 6oz 8" tall Black and Tan male . He sleeps most of the day and gets up to go to the bathroom, eat or get a drink of water. This is helpful because he does not like to go outside to go to the bathroom due to his allergies so if he gets up you know to bring him outside immediately. He is leased trained. He is crated all day and sleeps with me and all the other dogs at night and has no accidents. He gets attached to one person and does not let anyone else hold him except for that person. For this reason he needs a home with no children. He has severe allergies which is control with benedryl and using Vasoline to protect and moisturize his sensitive skin.

Zipper: 2 yr old (DOB 10/06-2009) red male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 14", 10.5 lb. Rescued from shelter.
Zipper is a beautiful AKC 2.5 year old min pin that came to us from a shelter. Zipper and his owner were living in an RV and the owner passed away, leaving Zipper to fend for himself for a few weeks. Zipper weighed about 5 pounds when he was found and in very bad shape. Thanks to some TCL vet care, Zipper has made a full recovery, at least medically. When Zipper first came to me to foster he was very fearful and emotionally not well. Now some 4 months later Zipper is a very happy boy and emotionally doing awesome. His emotional issues are all but gone, but his new owner will need be willing to give him some extra time to adjust to yet another home (hopefully his last) He loves meeting new people, loves walks and car rides/will sit in a car all day. Zipper would love to have a fenced yard as he loves sun bathing. He's got great manners inside the house, no tearing things up or peeing in the house. He uses a doggie door, is good with other dogs, but we're not sure about cats. Zipper will not be placed in a home with young kids, but older children/child should be ok. Obedience class will be required of his new owners, which will help him bond with them and give him some mental stimulation and confidence. Nitro has just come to us from a shelter, where he was brought in as a stray. He is a gorgeous red Min Pin that loves people. He's a true velcro dog, but independent enough to be okay by himself while you're away from home. In his foster home he is great with the other dogs. He plays with the small dogs and ignores the large ones. At the shelter he barked at the cats, but so far in his foster home, he is ignoring them. Paloma is an owner give up who came to Oregon from the desert country of California, so she enjoys the sun. She runs into the unfamiliar rain and must be gathered up and dried off with a towel. Paloma means "little dove" in Spanish and this little girl is very sweet. She is quickly bonding with her foster dad, but we would like to find her a permanent home so she could quickly go through the rescue process with no harmful effects.
Paloma is small and soft, 7 pounds of love and although full of energy, must be protected. Talk about sweetness, beauty, youth and perfection, this girl is blessed to have it all. She is not overly loud or aggressive. We are working on house training. She loves people, is used to small children and other dogs. We don't know how she would be with cats.
Paloma is still very much a puppy, so will need a home where someone is available to give her the time and attention she needs. An obedience class will be required by the lucky family who adopts her, to help her learn manners and bond with her new family. Got puppy? This feisty little guy is very sweet and looking for his furever home. He's young enough not to have any bad habits. He's been raised with kids and other dogs. We don't know how he would be around cats. Yogi is playful and affectionate and would love to sleep under the covers with you. He has already learned to push his way through the doggie door!
Just look at that face, who wouldn't love him. If you're up for puppy energy and have time, patience and a good sense of humor, you just might be the home for Yogi. Spartacus: 12 yr old black & rust male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 11.5", 10 lb. Shots up-to-date. Owner give-up.
Spartacus (Sparty) is a handsome special needs senior with a sweet personality. He is very companionable and loves to sit with you when you are reading or watching TV. He'll put his paws up on the chair for you to pick him up. We don't let him jump down, however, as we want to keep the wear on his joints to a minimum. His foster mom is very proud to have brought him from 15 pounds when he came to us to a now svelte 10 pounds. Long term weight and lack of exercise took a toll, Sparty is on a heart medication and joint supplement to maintain his quality of life. Fortunately, he is not diabetic. He likes a quiet life, is bright and interested in his surroundings, and needs someone who will keep him moderately active. He likes to walk for exercise. He also tells me an occasional trip to visit relatives or go camping is a lot of fun!

"Hi, my name is Wilfred but Mum likes to call me Silly Willy because that's what I am and I really love it - I wiggle my whole backside when she calls me that! I love people, all people, ANY people who want to say hi to me, and I love nothing more in this world than to curl up on your lap. I will curl up as tight as possible to be sure you'll let me stay there, and give you a little kiss. When you put an arm around me, I feel so warm and protected, I fall sound asleep and my head will roll onto your arm, sometimes with my tongue out! Mum says it reminds her of Dad ... oops! I shouldn't have said that!"
Willy is a quiet, gentle, self-contained little boy. He does fine with other dogs when they approach him but doesn't seek interaction with them. He is a people person and a loving, unintrusive companion. Willy is on meds to control seizures, and has had only one since he started his meds. We'd like to find a special person who will bond with Willy (he bonds easily) and not be afraid to see him thru it if he experiences a seizure. Shorter absences rather than a long working day alone would be best for him. He will reward you with his very loving nature and the love in his eyes!

Jake is a spunky sassy little 2-3 year old, 7-lb stag red minpin who thinks he is the biggest little boy on the planet! Jake is truly adorable - always interested in anything going on around him or that he can hear, ears pricked, eyes gleaming, nose in everything! He is a burrower extraordinaire - under the covers, a throw on the couch, in the laundry basket, into whatever you are wearing. He loves to crawl into my big loose Tshirt and poke his head out the sleeve. Satisfied that he is seeing things from the same view I am, he leans his head way out and oversees everything I am doing. He goes to PetSmart in the hood of my turned around hoodie. He is proudly house-trained and leash trained. The shelter indicated he was good with children, however we don't recommend small children due to his teenie tiny "real" size and risk of injury. It is apparent he has already had some experience with this in his little crooked tail. Jake struts his hunter reputation like many minpins can - birds, squirrels, blowing leaves, cats, you name it, if it moves fast it should be pursued. A fenced yard is a must-have. If you seek an interactive and entertaining best buddy, look no more - fill out an application and ask for Jake!

Samson is a sweet, shy, 2 year old chocolate and tan lapdog and burrower extraordinaire. All he wants is a human lap, a blankie and a place to call home. "Hi! I'm Samson, and the single most important thing in my life is being as close to you as possible, like velcro, and boy do I love to be held! I snuggle, settle and am very still in your lap, because its precious to me to be there. I'll walk beside you and sometimes touch your leg for comfort contact, but I am never underfoot. I'm proudly crate trained, leash trained and 99% housetrained - that little bitty 1% is if I can't hold it long enough for you to notice my signal, which is going to the door and looking back at you. I don't mark. I'm quiet in most ways - no barking, quiet and settled in the house, and burrowed under the covers at night or for after-meal naps. I used to be quite a jumper, but I've learned not to jump on tables or counters. If a visitor comes, I'll help announce him with the other dogs, and I can give an excited yip playing with the others, but that's about it. When my foster Mum comes home, I stand up and put my front feet on her leg, trying to catch her hand with my head or mouth. When we go out, I'll dash madly around the yard with the others, then return to her side." We don't know what Samson's first year was like, he can't tell us, but when he is stressed or overtired he tends to lick and nip himself too much. He'll cry if you try to hold his feet. His licking has calmed down considerably with a natural remedy and now he looks around like he doesn't know why he did it from time to time. His coat was thin and "licked away" in front when he first came to us, but with good nutrition and more confidence it has grown in nicely. He needs to be fed away from others so he will eat his food instead of protect it, and he can be the same way with his toys. We believe Samson will benefit from a reasonably quiet environment without a lot of commotion, and hope that he will fully outgrow his occasional nervousness.

A slender, long-legged, delicate stag red minpin, Jesse James came to us having escaped from his uncaring owner and on the lam from the law. He is highly aware of everything around him with impossibly erect ears and an alert stance at the slightest movement. His beautiful high-stepping prance and arched neck are well-designed to catch the eyes of the ladies, and the swivel-stop motion of his head when he goes on alert provides heart-arresting views from all angles. As his namesake once said, surrender has played out for good for him, he will have eyes for only one, and that's you, his furever home. Jesse James is a new rescue. We know he has some initial skittishness but is content in your arms, gets along with the people and dogs he has met so far. He'll follow you on leash. His toes are a little twisted from excessively long nails, which were cut back during surgery. When we know more, we'll let everyone know, so keep watching the hills for that smoke signal!

If you are looking for a nice dog that isn't a speck of trouble and is just a pleasure to have around then consider this handsome boy. Boris likes to be picked up and held and is absolutely silly when it comes to a squeaky toy. He pounces and tosses them into the air then runs off with it to tease the other dogs. Boris is also a gentleman and has great manners. He only barks when attention is needed, such as when he needs to go outside or someone is at the door. He loves to go for car rides and travels great. He enjoys long walks and a big yard to run in. He absolutely loves a good back scratching and petting. Boris is older but by no means "over the hill". His health is good and he has many years of love to give. Boris sleeps in his crate but I'm sure would love to share your bed. This is a wonderful, well-balanced min pin.

Dakota: 3 yr old black & tan male, neutered, natural ears and tail, 12" tall, 10.5 lb. 99% Housetrained
Dakota is a sweet loving little boy who just wants to please. You won't find a more loyal companion and a better snuggle buddy than Dakota. He can be shy at first but soon warms up to you and will follow you around the house like a shadow. Dakota wants nothing more than to play with his toys (he likes to shake the life out of them) and be your permanent lap warmer. He is always the first one in bed at night and waits for you to get under the covers with him and snuggle. Dakota has a lot of energy so a fenced in backyard where he can run around would be preferred but when he comes in he wants to curl up next to you and give you lots and lots of kisses. Dakota loves to dance around on his hind legs through the house and will keep you laughing with his silly little antics. His favorite place in the house is when you are on the computer; he loves to squeeze in behind you on the chair and curl up for a nap. Dakota is not recommended for small children as he is full of min pin energy and will try to dart out the door when it is opened. We also recommend Dakota for a female only home due to his level of fear towards men. Dakota is very loving and will make a forever companion for whoever is lucky enough to have him. Laci is a very loving girl. She enjoys playing with other dogs but is perfectly content with playing with a toy on her own. After a good game of chase Laci likes to cool off by standing in the water bowl. At night she likes to lay in the chair beside you and get a good belly rub. When it's bed time she wants to sleep under the covers and prefers the right side of the bed. Laci has the convenience of a doggie door here at her foster home and she is very good at going outside to take care of her business. She gets along with other dogs small and large. Unfortunately, Kerri's human mom recently passed away so she is now in need of a new home. Kerri is a very loving dog. She warms up to new people pretty fast and doesn't have an ounce of aggression in her! She seems to be housebroken and is quiet unlike the typical min pin! She gets along with other dogs and is comfortable in the crate. It will melt your heart when Kerri wraps her little paws around your arms when you pick her up! We are working on her leash manners and it seems like, with just a little more exposure, she will be great in no time! She loves to be outside and is really curious of the new scenery and sounds. Trooper: 8-9 yr old black & rust male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 11", 10 lb. Rescued from shelter.
We're so glad we rescued this sweet boy in time! Trooper is quite a survivor. We don't know what all has happened to him so far in his little life, but we'll make sure the rest of it is full of love and snuggles. Trooper was found by some good Samaritans and taken to the shelter. He had been abandoned after his owners moved.
Trooper has just three legs, but this doesn't stop him from getting around just fine. He romps and plays chase with the other dogs and loves tummy rubs. He sometimes needs help to get up on the couch but once he does, he's the perfect snuggle buddy. He has the sweetest temperament. He's house trained and crate trained - a perfect gentleman. He's a little shadow and will follow you around wherever you go. As soon as you bend down to pet him, his little nubbin tail wags a hundred miles an hour. Trooper is estimated to be 8-9 years old, but you wouldn't know it! He doesn't have a single grey fur on him and runs and plays like a puppy.
Trooper is good with strangers both human and canine, but we're not sure about cats yet. Trooper would do best in a home with no small children, as he could easily be accidentally injured. He would also do best in a home where he wouldn't be required to climb up and down stairs. Sometimes he loses his footing on hardwood floors and tile, so a home with carpet would be ideal.
Trooper is a wonderful, loving little guy who deserves a home that's as special as he is. Is that home yours?

Dominic: 2 yr old black & rust male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 12", 13 lb. Shots up-to-date.
Dominic is a very laid back easy going small min pin boy of about 13 lbs. He is black and rust with natural ears that stick out sort of like Dobbie in Harry Potter with an adorable face and a docked tail. He was rescued from one of the worst cases of animal cruelty - a puppy mill that allowed not only min pins but other breeds of dogs suffer horribly in very bad conditions. Dominic was treated for heartworms but has now had negative readings, so adoptable now. He has really come out of his shell and enjoyed playing with the other dogs as Dominic is pretty shy at first. He still cowers when you go to pick him up, but I think it is more his personality now as opposed to fear and very endearing in my opinion. Dominic would be perfect for a retired couple or a single person that wants a more laid back, but very affectionate little boy and would benefit from a nice yard because he loves the outdoors only when you are out with him. Also, he needs a routine with a stable home environment to feel secure. He is almost always very shy at first, but then becomes very demanding about cuddles and love. He needs ONLY positive reinforcement due to his past and responds really well to it. He sleeps with his foster mom in her bed and only has an open crate with a bed in it that he like to sleep in, so we don't know how he would respond in a closed crate. He is penned as opposed to crated. We tend to think that he would do better in a no very young kid, no-cat home and only with a more laid back dog of like temperment. He does chase the cats when given the opportunity in his foster home but does not attack if he catches them. The reason why we believe no very young kids is because he is very delicate and would not understand children that don't know their boundaries. Dominic is a sweet, loving little guy that reacts to every cuddle and pet.

Gracie: 5 yr old black & rust female, docked tail and beautiful natural ears. 14", 13 lb. Spayed, shots up-to-date, heartworm negative and on prevention.
Gracie is a special needs dog - she desperately needs someone special. Someone calm, confident, and who understands dogs and will let her feel safe. She came to us from a puppymill, pregnant and had five puppies. Its now two years later, and she needs a home of her own.
Because she was in a puppy mill, her social skills are on the low side - she is very shy of people, and it takes her a while to learn to trust and warm up. She needs a calm, patient, experienced human who is willing to let this girl blossom. She is intimidated by men, but is good with women. If allowed to do it in her own way, she will approach company in the house on her own, but is fearful of sudden movements toward her.
She loves to cuddle up next to her foster mom on the couch, likes neck massages, ears rubbed, and prefers to sleep in bed, under the covers, with her nose touching her person. She follows her foster mom and stays close - she likes to keep track of things!
She has a very playful, impish personality with the other dogs - loves to go zooming around the yard in a game of chase, or beat up on a stuffed dog toy - the larger the better. She's been seen trying to carry a dog bed out the doggie door so she can give it a good shake.
Even with her fear issues, she is willing to learn and is very bright and has learned some commands. We've been working on walking on a leash away from her yard. She's gotten much better and can go for a mile walk, but still prefers to have the company of one of her confident buddies to reassure her. Grace is amazingly athletic and can jump a 5 foot fence with ease, but all she wants is back in her yard where she feels safe. A secure yard, with a tall fence is a must.
She's not aggressive, gets along and loves to play with other dogs. She's not crazy about cats. She would do best in a home without children. It would help her if there is already a stable, calm dog in the family to model behavior for her. She is housebroken, will use a doggie door or pee pads.

"Hi My name is Razz Ma Tazz but my friends just call me Tazz. I was rescued after having a severely broken leg that had to be amputated. But don't worry, it does not slow me down a bit. In fact I get around better than some of the four legged min pins I know. I love to be petted and told what a good boy I am. I demand attention. Seriously! If you ignore me when I think I should be getting some quality lovin time, I will tap you with my pay or crawl up into your lap. My foster mom calls me a snake because of the way I get on my belly and crawl over to a waiting lap for a belly rub. My foster mom has four other min pins that I get along with but I am just as happy running throught the house with a squeak toy. Love them squeak toys. I like to sleep in the bed with my human the best so I can cuddle. But do not mind sleeping on a nice doggie pillow as long as I have a cozy blanket. Oh and did I mention I love Icee's? I'd drink right out of your cup if you let me. But if that is not something you would go for, I'll wait to share til you are through. I am very energetic and fun. Leah: 12 yr old red female, spayed, docked tail and uncropped, upright ears. 10", 8.5 lb. Shots up-to-date. Owner give-up.
Leah is a special needs dog. She is lively and playful and loves to be near her person. Leah was born with a condition called Leggs-Perthes Disease which destroys the hip joint. She has already had successful surgery to correct this very painful condition, and that leg is fully recovered with no problem. The other hind knee has developed severe arthritis, she walks with a slight limp and is active. Occasionally when it's cold she will take some pain medication for it, but mostly she has her Pet Wonder everyday and that is all she needs. Light exercise is good for her, but she needs a home that will be sure she gets her medication and not overstress her knee, she does love short walks. Leah is loyal and protective of her family, has a great appetite, is house broken. She has an underbite but has no trouble eating anything, and the vet said there was no concern there. Leah recently had her teeth cleaned and is very happy about that. She looks like a tiny red fox and is just as sweet as she can be. She knows how to use a doggie door. If you can give this little lady a home she will repay you with boundless amounts of love. She would be excellent for a retired person or an older person who is home a lot. She just loves to be a lap dog! She is quiet and would do fine in an apartment. She is good with other dogs (and has always had another dog with her), strangers, cats and children.

Stitch: 7 yr old black & tan male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 15 lb. Shots up-to-date.
Stitch is a sweet min pin with lot of energy! He plays really well with our other 3 min pins, and is good around our 2 year old daughter. We think he would be happy as both an only dog or in a home with other dogs like ours, but he does tend to get a little jealous when any other dog is getting petting or attention! He will run over and try get in on the cuddles too. Stitch likes to play fetch, loves to snuggle and be petted, and is quite a licker. He loves to jump into the lap of just about anyone who comes over to visit. We call him Stitch because he has hair missing along his body in a few places - it doesn't bother him though. He is housebroken and crate trained, and he knows a few basic commands. Think he might be a match for you? He hopes so!!

I was born with deformed hind legs, but believe me they don't slow me down, I can run and play with the best of them! Once you see me go you'll forget that anything is wrong with me. I really love to spend time with my person, and would be best suited for someone who wants to spend lots of time with me, loving me. I promise I give all that love back and really just want a best friend and to be a best friend. I love to play with other dogs but would probably be happiest in a home with only one or two other dogs, just so I can get as much attention as possible. This adorable little all natural fella is just beyond precious! He's just a pup at 1 - 1.5 years old and already he is cowering way more than a young pup or any dog should ever have to. He's just as sweet as he can be and probably has some latin roots. This sweetheart needs someone that will give him nothing but positive reinforcement and within reason spoil him rotten for the rest of his days. He probably will be fine with kids as soon as he gets his spirit back but may be startled by very young children right now. Some patience, tolerance, good obedience training that is recommended especially for any young dog, loving kindness will make this very special little guy the best he can be! He currently sleeps in the crate but would love to sleep in bed with his human as well and seems to really enjoy the company of other dogs. Right now, he's really seeking a lot of reassurance from his human....but his confidence will build. Meet the amazing Radar! Anything any other dog can do, he can do blind! Yes, he's blind and says so what? He has no problem navigating and learning a new layout. He uses a dog door and loves to stalk squirrels. He walks great on a leash.
Radar is in excellent health and very active. He does recieve daily supplements for arthritis - very inexpensive and effective. As long as he's on his supplements, he has no issues with arthritis.
Radar has moves - dance moves! Ask him to give you a spin and he will stand on his hind legs and give you a twirl (anything for a treat). He comes when called and knows "sit." Radar also excels at cuddling, going for car rides and walks, and snuggling under the blankets. He can jump from the floor into your lap without missing a beat. He's well behaved with lots of spunk!
Radar has been cat-tested and approved by a panel of resident felines, he's also friendly and non-aggressive with other dogs and loves people. He's one of the sweetest little guys ever to enter this home.

Snoopy is a 10 year old docked and red boy with natural standing ears. He's got the most precious face and is as affectionate as they come - in fact we call him a 'Velcro'? dog. He will never be a big eater and has remained quite thin I believe in part because he's very active when it is playtime. Food just doesn't seem to interest him much. He loves toys and other active dogs. But the thing he loves most of all is to cuddle with his human. It's hard to believe that he is 10 because there is no gray hair on him, and he's so active. Snoopy's past is that he lived his entire life outdoors until a very dear friend and co-rescuer took him in and ended up adopting this sweet soul. When she passed away, he came to live eventually with me. Snoopy will need a very loving family with probably older kids on up and possibly another dog if the dog is maybe younger and more active but he would be okay as an only dog as he is more a human's dog than a dog's dog. The more hours his humans are at home, the better. Any of our dogs even an older dog like Snoop need some basic obedience training. This is one precious boy.

Lori is a very sweet girl, born about 2000, but not "elderly." She is active and happy, loves walks, snuggles and loves to be near her people. She is in good health, excellent with people of all ages and other dogs. She is easy to have around.
She knows her name-when her foster mom sings, "Lori Lou I love you," Lori comes quickly. She uses the dog door and is house trained. She does not dig or try to escape.

Tessa is a beautiful, muscular tan female with a disposition that exceeds her beauty. Her previous owners took excellent care of her as she is in great health and shows no signs of being mistreated. Tessa knows how to sit pretty for treats, walks well on a harnessed leash, rides well in the car, is house trained and trained to sleep in her bed (but prefers to sleep with you if allowed). Tessa is currently fostered with two other minpins whom she gets along with just fine, but I can tell she prefers the company of humans more than dogs. Tessa will be best suited in a home where she can be a true companion. If you work long hours and have a very busy schedule, she is not the dog for you.

Ella: 1.5 yr old female German Min-Pin, spayed, docked tail and cropped ears. 17", 15lbs, up to date on all shots, is HW negative and on HW preventative. Rescued from shelter.
Meet Ella! Ella is a gorgeous German min-pin with a heart of gold! She was a stray that was picked up by the pound in Oklahoma, then rescued by our group soon after. She was very ill, severely malnourished and seemingly lifeless. Through proper diet, regular Vet checkups and the love & attention she certainly deserves she is the beautiful dog you see today! Ella is healthy, house trained, booster seat trained (car rides) and is doing well with leash training. Ella gets along with dogs, children and loves both men & women. She is a big snuggle bug, has an inquisitive nature, enjoys being outside and showers you with vocal appreciation when she gets excited. Ella has captured the hearts of all my neighbors, who beg to give this sweetheart loads of affection. I can't tell you how many times I hear "She is the sweetest dog I have ever met!". Ella will do well in most any household, but I feel she'd be happiest in a home with children or adults who enjoys being outside. She has a lot of love to give and is dreaming daily of finding her forever home. If you're looking for an addition to your family that will adore you her whole life through, look no further than sweet Ella.

Foster mom makes me do stuff called "sit" and "stay"; I don't mind because usually it means I get a cookie! I also figured out this magic thing called a "doggie door" – I can go in and out and in and out and in and out. How cool is that? Sometimes I take my toys out and then bring them back in again. And again. I get along well with my 4 foster siblings but they don't like to play near as much as I do, 'cause they're all older. I think cats are meant to be chased, and they don't like to play either. What's up with that? Foster mom says I play too rough sometimes and is helping me learn to be more gentle. I just get so excited – I love to play! I'm good with older kids and get along with all kinds of people. I've thought about it a lot and I think my perfect forever family will have a kid of my own and another young dog to play with. Foster mom says I'm a real love bug (I thought I was a dog?), I'm super sweet, cute, and just a little bundle of love and happiness. Could your home be my home so we can play together? Rolo: 4½ mth old chocolate/tan male, to be neutered end of April, docked tail and cropped ears. 9", 8.7 lb. Shots up-to-date. Owner give-up.
Rolo is now a special needs puppy. He will need someone who can always watch over him, as his surgery healed fine, but arthritis set in even before he was healed. He will not use his leg because of the pain. He is on pain meds and I have just started him on Pet wonder, which I've had great results from, for arthritic dogs. He will never be able to be left with a really rough playing dog or any that will/could hurt him, he cannot defend himself. This is a very sweet puppy that got a bad deal; she saw him thrown from a car and then found him limping down the road. He has a very bad break of the elbow that needed a pin to keep it in place and a dislocated shoulder plus a huge gouge on his nose from road rash.. He has just been released from crate rest and will need to have a medical release before he can go to an adopters home, which we are expecting to be the first part of May. Who ever gets Rolo will have to be very caring with, and for him. He loves other dogs and needs one gentle brother or sister who won't hurt him, he will need to be crated if you are gone or unable to watch him. His safety is going to be of utmost importance to the person that I will let him go to. He is all puppy and loves squeaky toys.

He uses dog door. He gets along well with other dogs who are not aggressive. Good with children.
He loves walks, snuggling near his people, exploring the yard. Does not dig or try to escape. He barks when someone comes but is not barky. He is house trained.
His only flaw - Jay Jay cannot be crated for long as he gets desperate to get out, can hurt himself trying. (His foster mom wouldn't like solitary confinement either.)
Jay Jay's dad is approaching 90 years and had to give up his buddy as can't keep up with his beloved dog.

"Gee. Look at all you people looking at me......I can understand why.....cuz I am cute as a bug in a rug!!!!! That is right. My name is Maddie and I am 12 weeks old!!!! I think I am bigger than I am because I fuss and fight with the other dogs in the house. I love to play and play and play...then I collapse and sleep. I don't want to sleep...I just can't keep my eyes open anymore. I have natural ears and no one cut my tail off so I use it to show you how happy I am that I am safe and sound and have a warm place to sleep. My foster Dad lets me sleep with him and I sleep through the entire night. I am pretty much housebroken as long as my Foster Dad lets me out every hour or so. I cry some when I first go in the crate because I don't like to be alone...but soon I fall asleep. No one knows how I wound up running the streets in Houston but there I was. I almost got ran over a few times before a nice lady stopped and helped me out. She contacted the nice people at IMPS and they are taking great care of me. I don't chew on furniture..I love chew bones though. My foster Dad thinks I had some good training already when I was in my previous home. I am fearless and do not like to be told no. The other dogs are helping to show me how a good pup behaves. I so want a home where I can love my owner and we can play. Foster Dad plays hand monster with me..I just love it!!! Hopefully my new home will play hand monster with me a lot!!! I want to warn you though. Maddie will not be ignored and requires lots of love and play time. So how about it?"

Chula is energetic, loving and adorable. She is a beautiful shiny black and rust miniature pinscher (with a grandpa who was a mini-doxie?) Actually we realized her daddy was a River Otter—you should see her in the pond. Chula weighs about 12 lb. She is up on shots, spayed, microchipped, healthy and ready for a permanent home. She is great with children, affectionate, playful. She is great at finding mice or varmints in the yard. At her foster home she keeps watch on the little pond and its inhabitants. So far she has not brought in a catch of tadpoles for her foster mom to prepare for supper!
Chula is not a problem girl—no trying to escape or climbing out or digging out of the yard. She gets along with everyone and all the other foster dogs. She lets you know if someone is at the door but is not "barky." Chula is too busy to waste her time barking for no reason. Her one problem stems from when she was a puppy and someone took her from her mother and other puppies too young—guess they sold her for a few bucks sooner. She does anxious chewing. At night she needs to be in a crate with rawhides, toys to occupy her to keep her from chewing on bedding. During the day she stays busy with tadpole stalking or toys or chasing with the other dogs. She also needs plenty of exercise (if your physician said you need more exercise, she can be your helper.)

Jasmine is a chocolate spayed female, microchipped, up on shots, healthy, loving, house trained, does not dig or try to escape. She is 14 inches, 15 lb, 12 years old but not elderly. Loves walks and snuggles and her people. She gets along with other dogs and people. She uses the dog door, loves to get leashed up for a walk, does not demand a lot of attention or time but would happily cuddle in a lap or snuggle near you or take you for a nice walk to keep both healthy.
Jasmine lost her home due to domestic problems, not her fault but her loss. She will be a loyal companion and buddy for her next owner.

Pez - "ADOPTION PENDING" is an adorable boy, about 3 years old but acts younger. He is such a pretty and perky, alert, loving boy. He is light stag red, 12 inches, 11 lb, healthy. He has an unusual cowlick at the back of his neck. He is ready for a walk or a snuggle. He likes playing with a chew toy and tossing it up to catch or chase.
Pez (Pezzie Wezzie to his mom) should not be crated for long as he becomes desperate. He is too lively and inquisitive and intelligent to be hidden away. He gets along with other dogs but should not be in a home with a dominant male, especially an aggressive one. He would delight in having a little female for a play mate. They could entertain each other when their people are not home and keep themselves healthy.
Pez was at the Port Isabel TX shelter, probably lost from his home in far south Texas. He does not try to escape but if you leave the door open, he will accept the invitation to see the world beyond that door. He does not dig or try to climb out. He is up on shots, microchipped and ready for his permanent home. He is house trained and uses the dog door. He enjoys toys without destroying them.

Teddy is a cute little fellow who has been down on his luck and needs someone to love him and give him a second chance to have the good life he deserves. He is a handsome little guy who will sit in the typical MinPin stance with his little paw raised to 'shake'. Unlike many Pins, Teddy is very quiet, plus he walks well on a leash. Update 8/3/11: Teddy is a new man since he had a dental and has had his ear infections treated! I love to run and chase anything that moves, but also love to snuggle in front of a nice warm fire. I think I would like someone who goes running a bit (my foster parents keep saying something about after 21 years of being forced to run,m they think retirement is for walking), not a requirement as long as I have a yard to run and play in though. I get along well with other dogs, but would prefer dogs my own size. I met some nice kids the other night and seemed to recall that I used to live with a few of my own so I think I would enjoy some to play with now as well. Pippin is such a super sweet little guy who wants nothing more than to have you around and share his love.
He's living in his foster home with two other male Min Pins his age and gets along fine. He is housetrained, very playful, affectionate, loves to cuddle and get a belly rub. Pippin's super easy to walk. He would prefer a home with another dog and not have his peeps leave him alone too long. Crate trained but he doesn't use one here since we have the kitchen area gated off for him and our pins when we leave for no more than 4 hours. He would sleep in our bedroom on his blanket but would much rather sleep with us. . Does not dig or chew up anything... He did however bark for a period of time the first few weeks when we left the house but has settled in nicely.
If you're looking for a loving, healthy little dog that's easy to please then Pippin's your boy.

From Dutch: "Hello world, I'm Dutch, not sure what a Dutch is, but hey that's what they are calling me so sure I'll roll with it. I've had a rough couple of months since October when my first humans brought home a smelly roll of blankets and decided they wanted to keep the "baby" as they called it and not me, so they dropped me off at the shelter. I didn't like the shelter much and while not exactly large when I got there, lost a bit of weight while there so I got a bit snappy with the humans there when they shoved a chunk of plastic into my food bowl while I was eating, so they were not able to try and find me a home there. I'm now settling in here at my foster home, it's warm, there's lots of good food, plenty of blankets to snuggle under and I get to snuggle up with the humans at night. I think I would do best in a house with only one or two other dogs and some humans of my own to take care of, but probably not more smelly blanket rolls."
From Dutch's Foster parents: Dutch is great with women and while shy at first with men generally warms up within hours to days (depending on the man). He does play well with other dogs, just prefers to have his own toys and we feed him separate. Right now he is under weight and this likely plays into him protecting his food. He is house trained and figured out the doggie door within a couple of days. Dutch has a healthy appetite, but does eat better if we stay in the room with him while he eats. Not good with small children (newborns) or puppies. Dutch has a huge heart just waiting to give love to the right human!

Romeo is working on his manners and potty training. It would appear that he was kept outside, even in the snow, which is how he came to IMPS. He is a quick learner, and wants to please, but is still learning his way around living in a home - the stairs in particular are a challenge for him. He is an active boy, and likes to wrestle with the 3 other MinPins and a bulldog who live here. He is very playful and affectionate.
Update: Romeo is now crate-trained, house-trained, and leash-trained. He has to wear mandog diapers in the house still due to "marking". He is a Super dog, good with kids, dogs, people, wonderful temperment. Likes to snuggle in bed at night.
He is NOT good with cats.

Zipper: 2 yr old (DOB 10/06-2009) red male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 14", 10.5 lb. Rescued from shelter.
Zipper is a beautiful AKC 2.5 year old min pin that came to us from a shelter. Zipper and his owner were living in an RV and the owner passed away, leaving Zipper to fend for himself for a few weeks. Zipper weighed about 5 pounds when he was found and in very bad shape. Thanks to some TCL vet care, Zipper has made a full recovery, at least medically. When Zipper first came to me to foster he was very fearful and emotionally not well. Now some 4 months later Zipper is a very happy boy and emotionally doing awesome. His emotional issues are all but gone, but his new owner will need be willing to give him some extra time to adjust to yet another home (hopefully his last) He loves meeting new people, loves walks and car rides/will sit in a car all day. Zipper would love to have a fenced yard as he loves sun bathing. He's got great manners inside the house, no tearing things up or peeing in the house. He uses a doggie door, is good with other dogs, but we're not sure about cats. Zipper will not be placed in a home with young kids, but older children/child should be ok. Obedience class will be required of his new owners, which will help him bond with them and give him some mental stimulation and confidence. Zipper is young and would love to find his forever home with someone that will love and be committed to taking care of him. Email his foster mom for more info.

Nitro has just come to us from a shelter, where he was brought in as a stray. He is a gorgeous red Min Pin that loves people. He's a true velcro dog, but independent enough to be okay by himself while you're away from home. In his foster home he is great with the other dogs. He plays with the small dogs and ignores the large ones. At the shelter he barked at the cats, but so far in his foster home, he is ignoring them. Paloma: 10 mth old red female, to be spayed 4/30, docked tail and uncropped ears. 10", 7 lb. Owner give-up.
Paloma is an owner give up who came to Oregon from the desert country of California, so she enjoys the sun. She runs into the unfamiliar rain and must be gathered up and dried off with a towel. Paloma means "little dove" in Spanish and this little girl is very sweet. She is quickly bonding with her foster dad, but we would like to find her a permanent home so she could quickly go through the rescue process with no harmful effects.
Paloma is small and soft, 7 pounds of love and although full of energy, must be protected. Talk about sweetness, beauty, youth and perfection, this girl is blessed to have it all. She is not overly loud or aggressive. We are working on house training. She loves people, is used to small children and other dogs. We don't know how she would be with cats.
Paloma is still very much a puppy, so will need a home where someone is available to give her the time and attention she needs. An obedience class will be required by the lucky family who adopts her, to help her learn manners and bond with her new family. Meet Missy Poo! The sweetest most loving Momma dog there is! She has had a tough live living confined to a dog run being bred time and time again her whole life, but this will be her last litter. Now she can retire and enjoy the luxuries other dogs take for granted... couches, sleeping under the covers, toys... she LOVES her toys! Missy is very sweet. She loves getting scratches and belly rubs. When you stop she will raise her paw up to wave you back for more. She can be a bit timid in new situations, but adjusts quickly. She gets along great with other dogs and completely ignores the cat. She avoids kids and would prefer they avoid her. Because of this she is not recommended for a family with with children under 12. She is leashed trained and does go for walks, but she is not used to pottying while leashed so she needs to go to a home with a securely fenced in yard that is directly accessed from the house. Carly is a sweet girl that came into rescue from a puppy mill where she was forced to have litter after litter. Her last litter was in December of last year and now that she's raised her beautiful puppies and given them the best start to life she could offer it's her turn to find her forever home. Carly is doing very well with her house training, is great with other dogs and cats, and truly has every intention of leaving that other life behind. She would probably prefer a home with another dog, as most puppy mill dogs do. She is fearful around children and chooses to ignore them. Carly has a cute underbite not too different from many Pug's or Boston's I've met but it just adds to how cute she is. Consider giving this wonderful lady a home and she'll make sure you have all the love you need for the rest of her years with you.

Meet Clark Kent, a.k.a. Superman! Clark came to Chicago Animal Control as a stray, and looked like something straight out of an ASPCA commercial - extremely emaciated, ears frostbitten to the point of missing small chunks, not a lot of hair left (that's the first thing to go when dogs are starving). But boy is he sweet - loves people unconditionally and instantly, loves other dogs and doesn't mind cats, is crate-trained. We found out from our vet here in Madison that Clark is heartworm positive, with a very early detection because his infection is very light. He is currently undergoing treatment and we expect him to make a full recovery. It will be a tough road for him, and even if you don't adopt him, please take his story to heart and keep your dog on a heartworm preventative! We named him Clark Kent because he might be a skinny little guy now but he will be a nice strong superhero some day!

"Hey there, I'm Andy! If I look familiar it's because my brother Ollie is right below me. We both ended up in rescue because our previous owner lost their home and couldn't find a new one that would let us come along. I haven't always been treated with kindness in my past, but since coming to IMPS I know all of that is behind me now. I am a spunky guy who loves to be silly and scoot & shoot around with my toys. I also like to cuddle up on your lap and give lots of puppy kisses. I walk well on leash as long as you remind me not to pull. I sleep in my crate and spend time there when my foster parents are away from the house. My house training is going well, but it helps if I have someone to keep an eye on me and who will take me outside on a regular basis. I've been getting along with my foster brothers and have even been around small kids. There are times when I get scared that people are going to be mean to me again, especially if they yell or act threatening, then I get upset. I just need someone who will be patient with me and give me time to trust again. I have so much love to give, won't you give me a second chance at a better life?"

Connelly Oliver Twist: Ollie is a 6½ yr old (known Dob 7/14/05) Red Stag, neutered male, 16" tall and 17 pounds. Ollie was 22 pounds when he was rescued and he is continuing to work on his figure to be the healthiest handsome boy he can be. His tail is docked, his ears are not cropped, and he is both housebroken and crate trained. He knows sit, down, and he comes when his name is called. He likes the small dogs in his new foster home best, but gets along well with large dogs as well. He's currently learning how to live in a balanced environment and makes great strides every single day. When Ollie first came to us he had some trust issues but because of his willingness to adjust to his new foster home filled with many other animals and family members, his foster family has quickly grown to adore him. He loves to do things like ride 'shotgun' in his foster moms Jeep, but he also rides well crated. Ollie will thrive best in a very positive loving home. He loves bonding with the humans around him. Lola was terrified when her family dropped her off at the shelter because she was too stressed out by their twin 2 year old sons. But after spending a little time in a foster home Lola has let all that fear and anxiety go. Beneath it all is a very sweet, very loving girl. Lola is a quiet and docile Min Pin. She enjoys sunning herself, snuggling on the couch, and getting scratches. She would do best with respectful children over the age of 7. She is potty trained, crate trained, and all-in-all a really good girl. She's a bit of a pudgy pie, I suspect her family didn't take her for many walks, so she could stand to lose a few pounds. Last but not least, she is beautiful!! Her pictures don't do her justice. Once she gets her figure back she is going to be a real stunner!! Lola is currently located in the Appleton/Green Bay area. Teddy is a cute little fellow who has been down on his luck and needs someone to love him and give him a second chance to have the good life he deserves. He is a handsome little guy who will sit in the typical MinPin stance with his little paw raised to 'shake'. Unlike many Pins, Teddy is very quiet, plus he walks well on a leash. Update 8/3/11: Teddy is a new man since he had a dental and has had his ear infections treated! "Hi, my name is Ellie-Mae! I would like nothing better than to have a couple of humans of my very own to spoil and curl up with. Not that I don't like it here, lots of good food, a warm human to curl up with at night and some friends to play with, but come on now, I want a human of my own, this sharing of humans amongst 8 of us is for the birds. I love to run and chase anything that moves, but also love to snuggle in front of a nice warm fire. I think I would like someone who goes running a bit (my foster parents keep saying something about after 21 years of being forced to run,m they think retirement is for walking), not a requirement as long as I have a yard to run and play in though. I get along well with other dogs, but would prefer dogs my own size. I met some nice kids the other night and seemed to recall that I used to live with a few of my own so I think I would enjoy some to play with now as well. What I want most is to be able to settle into a home of my own with humans to take care of."

Pippin: 6 yr old red male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 9", 6.5 lbs. Up to date on shots and microchipped. Owner give up. Received dental cleaning 3/12 ~ no extractions ~ normal blood work! No known health issues.
Pippin is such a super sweet little guy who wants nothing more than to have you around and share his love.
He's living in his foster home with two other male Min Pins his age and gets along fine. He is housetrained, very playful, affectionate, loves to cuddle and get a belly rub. Pippin's super easy to walk. He would prefer a home with another dog and not have his peeps leave him alone too long. Crate trained but he doesn't use one here since we have the kitchen area gated off for him and our pins when we leave for no more than 4 hours. He would sleep in our bedroom on his blanket but would much rather sleep with us. . Does not dig or chew up anything... He did however bark for a period of time the first few weeks when we left the house but has settled in nicely.
If you're looking for a loving, healthy little dog that's easy to please then Pippin's your boy.

From Dutch: "Hello world, I'm Dutch, not sure what a Dutch is, but hey that's what they are calling me so sure I'll roll with it. I've had a rough couple of months since October when my first humans brought home a smelly roll of blankets and decided they wanted to keep the "baby" as they called it and not me, so they dropped me off at the shelter. I didn't like the shelter much and while not exactly large when I got there, lost a bit of weight while there so I got a bit snappy with the humans there when they shoved a chunk of plastic into my food bowl while I was eating, so they were not able to try and find me a home there. I'm now settling in here at my foster home, it's warm, there's lots of good food, plenty of blankets to snuggle under and I get to snuggle up with the humans at night. I think I would do best in a house with only one or two other dogs and some humans of my own to take care of, but probably not more smelly blanket rolls."
From Dutch's Foster parents: Dutch is great with women and while shy at first with men generally warms up within hours to days (depending on the man). He does play well with other dogs, just prefers to have his own toys and we feed him separate. Right now he is under weight and this likely plays into him protecting his food. He is house trained and figured out the doggie door within a couple of days. Dutch has a healthy appetite, but does eat better if we stay in the room with him while he eats. Not good with small children (newborns) or puppies. Dutch has a huge heart just waiting to give love to the right human!

Zero has been perfectly healthy his entire life...his teeth were a mess when we got him and they are not in good shape again. Most likely needs a dental checkup. Romeo: 2-4 yr old red male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 15", 16 lb. Shots up-to-date. Found as a stray.
"I am a very sweet boy. I like people, but am shy at first. I like all dogs so I can play, play, play, and I love toys and to snuggle, and I love treats when I am good, oh and I can jump really really high."
Romeo is working on his manners and potty training. It would appear that he was kept outside, even in the snow, which is how he came to IMPS. He is a quick learner, and wants to please, but is still learning his way around living in a home - the stairs in particular are a challenge for him. He is an active boy, and likes to wrestle with the 3 other MinPins and a bulldog who live here. He is very playful and affectionate.
Update: Romeo is now crate-trained, house-trained, and leash-trained. He has to wear mandog diapers in the house still due to "marking". He is a Super dog, good with kids, dogs, people, wonderful temperment. Likes to snuggle in bed at night.
He is NOT good with cats.
