Toby: 10 yr old black & tan male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 10", 15 lb. Shots up-to-date. Owner give-up.
Toby is a very sweet boy, he love's to get in his bed with his teddy bear and be covered up at night. He is housebroken and crate-trained. Good with strangers, children, other dogs and cats. As most older furbabies Toby is on medication for his Thyroid and Heart but is doing great on them. He is alittle pudgy due to his medications but watching his food intake and short walks during the day help to keep him healthy and will enable him to keep his weight lower. Toby springs to life when the doorbell rings or when he knows he is going outside for a potty walk, other than that he prefers to sleep most of the time. He is very kind hearted and just loves to follow his foster mommy around the house to get any kind of attention he can from her. Although Toby is good with everyone he would be most suited to a life where he is the only one, where things are calm and quiet so he can enjoy himself in peaceful solitude.

Wilson: 12 year old chocolate/tan male, neutered, docked tail, natural ears, 15 lbs, shots up to date
This great looking boy is Wilson. Please know that Wilson maybe 13 years old, but he is full of life. Can you believe he can tell time? Every morning at 6:45 he knows I need to sit to get my eye drops, and then off to my crate for breakfast. He then is in the kitchen at 5pm knowing time for dinner. Trust me if we forget he will remind us of what time it is .
Wilson does not do well with small children, but older children are fine. Our boy was a stray, then got a miracle and was adopted into a loving home, but alas for him they had a baby, and he could not adjust, so he came to live with me. This boy does great with recall, crate trained, and is house trained, if you take him out every couple of hours. But if you need to work, as his foster mom, he is crate trained as well. Wilson will sleep on his own bed in your room. He is not a big barker, and he loves affection. I know he is older, but he is just a great boy, hoping someone will see him, and not just his age. Please look in your heart and see if you have room for a chocolate treat named Wilson.

Bogie: 3 yr old black & rust male, neutered, docked tail and natural ears. 14½", 15 lbs. Shots up to date. Housebroke.
Bogie is a very playful and loving guy. Bogie loves to run and it's a treat to watch him. He's very fast and graceful! He loves chasing birds & butterflies but isn't noisy about it. He does well with other dogs but tends to play rough therefore a home with smaller dogs wouldn't be the best. Bogie loves his toys and cheweezs and will chase a ball all day long. We don't know if he's been around kids so older children would be best. He's just such a happy boy he would knock a toddler over accidently.
Bogie is very affectionate and loves to sit with his people. When you come home he lets you know how happy he is by jumping straight up into the air!
He has not been socialized much so he tends to be leery of strangers and will bark and growl at them. Once he meets them he's best friends and wants them to play with him.
Bogie would be a wonderful addition to some lucky family.

Simon: 1 yr old black & tan male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 11", 10 lb. Shots up-to-date. Rescued from shelter.
Simon says you will love him. He is a sweet loving boy who cuddles in bed, runs in they yard, plays toys and walks well on a leash. We found him tied to a box on death row at the local shelter. He was a stray and no one ever came to claim him. He does well with other dogs and has learned to tolerate cats. Simon would do best in a home without young children. Simon is crate trained and housebroken. If he's feeling frisky, he will begin "attacking" his dog food, quite a fun sight to see. Please keep in mind that Simon is still quite young and plays a little rough at times. He does like to "nibble play" and we are working on discouraging this behavior. Simon is a wonderful, beautiful boy who would love to find the perfect place to call his furever home. Noodle: black/tan neutered male, docked tail, natural ears, 7.5 years old, 7-8 lbs.
Noodle is a little darling! At first meeting Noodle will bark a little and need to sniff and check you out but after a bit he will be on your lap wanting to be petted and held. He also loves to have his belly rubbed and will sometimes turn over when you go to pick him up as a reminder that it is time for one more rub of his belly. When you talk to Noodle he tilts his head to one side as if he is really tuning into what you are saying (once in a while it is nice to have someone listen and not talk back!). He seems to hate (who doesn't) thunder/lightning storms. Noodle likes to sleep in bed with us and the other furkids. He does like his crate so we leave the door of his crate open twenty-four hours a day and it is his choice where he relaxes and sleeps. Noodle gets along well with other small dogs. He does guard his food dish, he growls and stands over the top of it but won't hurt you as you can pick him up and the growling stops. If you don't have any other indoor animals than this is not an issue and if you do just work with him a bit to change this habit. We have been feeding him twice a day (breakfast and dinner) and putting the food dish away and that has been working. We believe that Noodle lived with dogs bigger than him and may have had to guard his dish to be able to get something to eat because the little guy was quite skinny when he came to us. Noodle is without a doubt a beautiful, endearing pin. If you are looking for a small, lovable lap dog then this is your boy. He will make a wonderful family companion. Update: Noodle has had a seizure since being in rescue and now requires a pill twice a day to keep it in check. After the vet put him on the medication he has never had another episode.

Miousekatier: 1-2 yr old black & tan female, spayed, undocked tail and uncropped ears. 9", 8 lb. Shots up-to-date. Rescued from shelter.
Miska Mouska Mousekatier! What a fun little girl, Mousey take about 10 seconds for her to warm up to you, but she is scared if asked to do something she is not sure about, found as a stray, we know nothing about her past, her trust will have to be earned with love, patience and understanding. She loves to playing with toys and other dogs (especially Jenny, her new best friend), and is inquisitive and energetic deer hopping & running like crazy all over the yard, sticking her nose in everything. As you can see she is a black and tan, but does not have the characteristic mask of most b&t minpins. Very pretty, tall & leggy yet petite. Her natural tail curves up over her back when happy (which is most of the time) & her ears are big and beautiful, and has a lovely minpin hackney gait. She loves to sit on laps or behind you on a chair for as long as you will let her or until she has a burst of minpin playing frenzy. Dingus: approx 10 yr old black & tan male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 20lbs and shots up to date.
Dingus is a senior boy who's figure has grown with age. He enjoys lounging around the house and taking occasional walks. He loves to cuddle on the couch or sit outside in the sun. He is easily startled by noises and reacts by barking. He would be perfect in a quiet, laid back household where he can receive all of the attention that he deserves. Dingus is crate trained, but prefers to roam the house freely. He is housebroken with occasional accidents when he is upset. He insists on sleeping with his special blanket or under the covers in his owner's bed. It takes him a while to warm up to new people and he is very protective of his family. He is currently in a house with small children, but would be better suited around adults only as he enjoys peace and quiet. He can get along with other dogs, but does not tend to want to be bothered by them especially if they are smaller than him. Dingus is looking for a loving home where he can receive the attention he deserves.

Meet Sassy, the sassafrass girl. Sassy has taken leaps and bounds since entering her foster home. Sassy learned how to play with toys, but she so enjoys your companionship more. In the morning, she knows my routine and runs in front of me the entire way with not only her tail, but her entire body wagging in excitement because her foster mommy is awake and now it's time to play! Sassy absolutely loves to go on rides in the car and walks on a leash. Sassy likes other dogs, but can try to become dominant if you don't watch her. Sassy likes kitty cats, kids, and strangers. I don't think she's ever met a stranger. When anyone comes to the house she runs around, whole body wagging just waiting on attention. Sassy would be a perfect companion to anyone who wants unconditional love. Sassy is now housebroken and will go to the potty alone, but runs directly back to the door when finished. The handsome boy in the picture is Parker. Let me tell you about him. He was a stray in a high kill shelter, saw his picture and knew I had to save him. Parker does well with other dogs in the foster home, has good recall, and loves to sit quietly in the evening and watch tv with you, and then off to bed with you. Can you believe he beats me to bed every evening? This darling is house trained, crate trained, and in general a real doll. We are in the process of getting a trainer so he can walk better on a lead, and find ways for all his engery he has during the day, and working on mouthing. But trust me he loves his people so much and wants to be a good boy. No dog is perfect but Parker is one sweet boy. perhaps you would like to meet him, and give him a loving home?

Everyone please welcome a little darling named Colt McCoy. Colt was a stray at a high kill shelter, and on his last day when call for rescue when out. I had a feeling I needed to save this boy. Colt has learned so many things in rescue, housetrained, crate trained, excellent recall, loves to sit with you, gets along with other furkids, loves children of all sizes. Would you believe he learned to fetch and drop it in 20 minutes? My Colt is a VERY special boy to me, and he has stolen my heart, but I want him to have his own family with children so he can be the love of their lives. This boy is not a minpin in the true sense,but what a gentle and loving boy he is. If you would meet him, you would fall in love with him as much as I have. The only things he does not like are cats and big dogs. Please consider giving Colt a chance to become your beloved companion.

"Hi everybody, I am Buddy, and I need somebody to love. My former family did not have enough time for me anymore and threw me away. A lady from IMPS saw me and saved me and got me into rescue, so I have a warm, no cage home where I am safe, I really don't like the cage at all. I am a good boy, I know sit and I know where the doggie door is (I have just about wore it out)! I do have a limp and I hop around on 3 legs, because my leg had been broken in the past, and it healed this way, I have no problem getting around and no pain in it, though massages are welcome anytime. I am a bigger boy at 16 lbs, but that does not stop me from wanting to be a lap lovin doggie. I could care less about cats, and I get along well with kids. I am very handsome boy with the coloring of a shiny penny and my fur feels like velvet, I do have a few white freckles on my head. I do pull on my leash, I have been trying, but everything is so exciting and new, my foster mom got a different head leash, so I won't pull, we are going to try it soon. I am a little bossy with the other doggies, but a firm no usually stops any grouchiness that I show when I don't want to share. But hey, it has been a long time since I had a lap, pets, and ear rubs, I don't want to give that up. I would do well as the only doggie, but would share if you had a brother or sister for me. I am neutered, up to date on all shots & vaccines, heartworm negative and micro chipped. I have beautiful natural ears, docked tail, and a heart of gold. Schroeder: 3 year old, black and tan male, 12" height, 13 lbs, natural ears, docked tail. Schroeder came into rescue, abused, hurt, and emaciated when found by the shelter, who begged me to take him. Lord only knows what he had been thru. This poor boy has had a rough life, he has healed, gained weight, and is starting to trust humans again. He would much rather be adopted by a gentle all women household, he has problems with men, everytime my husband is playing with the other dogs, or raises his hand to pet (underhand is fine) Schroeder gets very upset, and wants to protect. He has come a long way, and would need a very understanding adopter. He must be leashed when visitors come to the door, and be introduced very quietly with lots of reassurance and treats. Otherwise Schroeder is a wonderful lap warmer, bed snuggler, and is really doing well on his house training. He loves to play with toys, squeekies are best, has a ball chasing thrown objects, not much for bringing them back, so I just gather a bunch and let him go get them. He is quiet in the crate, I feed him there, since he is always hungry and wants everyone's food. He will also sleep in the crate, but would much rather snuggle under the covers with you, and he is a great little heater. He would do well as the only dog, no idea how he would do with cats or children, so I will say no to both. Yes, he needs further socialization, training, and manners, but most of all needs someone to give him a chance to be the wonderful dog I know he can become. Razzi, RazMTaz, RazzleDazzle, this sweet lady does not know why her owner gave her up, stating "I am just not a dog person". Well we at IMPS are dog people, and will find a home that will cherish this sweet girl forever. Razzi is a very laid back min pin, she loves children, gets along well with other dogs, we don't know about cats, but from her personality a kitty would have no problems from Razzi. Razzi is housebroken, and does very well, if she is left alone for long periods she will have an accident, she will use a pad. She rarely barks, just a couple of woofs, when someone comes to the door, and she settles right down, usually right up on the visitors lap. She does pull a little on the leash, but is very well mannered. Her favorite things to do are lay on laps, nap in front of the fireplace, or laz in a spot of sunshine. "My name is Honey and I am 6 years old. When I came into rescue, it was discovered that I had a hip that had been broken when I was little. I had hip surgery and my foster Mom nursed me back to health. I can run without limping or hurting now. I get along well with kids and even like to play with the cats. If I have toys and know where they are kept, I will drag them out to play with. My foster Mom has been teaching me how to "FETCH". I will do it when I feel like it. I don't have any hair on me belly so a sweater in cold weather is a good thing. I will guard your house and let you know when someone is aroung. I am housebroken and crate trained. I love to be with my humans and sleep under the covers. I'll bet you will learn to love my snore. ll I need is a person or family to give my love to. I promise that no furkid will love you more."

Moses: 6 yr old black & tan male, neutered, undocked tail and uncropped ears. 8", 5 lb 6 oz. Shots up-to-date. Rescued from shelter.
Moses is a 6 year old, 5lb 6oz 8" tall Black and Tan male . He sleeps most of the day and gets up to go to the bathroom, eat or get a drink of water. This is helpful because he does not like to go outside to go to the bathroom due to his allergies so if he gets up you know to bring him outside immediately. He is leased trained. He is crated all day and sleeps with me and all the other dogs at night and has no accidents. He gets attached to one person and does not let anyone else hold him except for that person. For this reason he needs a home with no children. He has severe allergies which is control with benedryl and using Vasoline to protect and moisturize his sensitive skin.

Chili is a mellow fellow who just wants to be loved. He needs someone who is at home with him to let him out to potty. He is housetrained, but doesn't like being left alone all day. Are you looking for a calm Min Pin to cuddle with and be your companion? If so, Chili's the boy for you. He is very sweet and well-adjusted. He is crate trained, in fact, he likes to hang out in his crate - his own little dog cave. He knows ssome basic commands, such as sit, stay, go outside.

Doobie - "ADOPTION PENDING": 2 yr old black & rust male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 15", 19 lb. Owner give-up.
Meet Doobie! This little boy needs his forever home. He has only had one owner since he was a puppy. Doobie's owner lost her home and was very sad that circumstances forced her to give him up. He has been well loved and cared for -- she even rocked him to sleep. We are determined to find an equally loving home for him. Can you find it in your heart to open up your home? Do you have a child who would love this young dog? Can you promise to treat him with loving kindness? He is shy at first, but warms up with love and kindness. He likes to be close to his people and he sits on my lap while typing. He likes to share a chair with his person. He is a smart boy, just needs a little confidence, which will come once he settles in at his new home. He is housetrained and learned to use the doggy door in just a few hours. He has not displayed any negative traits since he came here. He is used to living with children and cats. He retrieves toys well and enjoys chewing on rawhide.

Spartacus: 12 yr old black & rust male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 11.5", 10 lb. Shots up-to-date. Owner give-up.
Spartacus (Sparty) is a handsome special needs senior with a sweet personality. He is very companionable and loves to sit with you when you are reading or watching TV. He'll put his paws up on the chair for you to pick him up. We don't let him jump down, however, as we want to keep the wear on his joints to a minimum. His foster mom is very proud to have brought him from 15 pounds when he came to us to a now svelte 10 pounds. Long term weight and lack of exercise took a toll, Sparty is on a heart medication and joint supplement to maintain his quality of life. Fortunately, he is not diabetic. He likes a quiet life, is bright and interested in his surroundings, and needs someone who will keep him moderately active. He likes to walk for exercise. He also tells me an occasional trip to visit relatives or go camping is a lot of fun!

Durango is a sweet-natured little man with a soft red coat, expressive brown eyes and plenty of energy. "Hi, I'm Durango, and I love people, people, PEOPLE! I am proudly crate trained, house trained, leash trained and kid-tested. I'm especially good on my potty walk when we follow a routine. I like to be in the same room you are in, with an occasional journey to go exploring, and love a basket of dog toys. If you invite me up, I'll to stand on your lap endlessly for petting. Yep, stand. I want to see everything going on around me in case I need to be in the middle of it. Bring on the kids, the TV, the commotion and especially a ball, it's all great fun to me! I also get along well with other dogs and love to play tag, but respect it when they don't want to play. A cat, rabbit or squirrel? Not so much; they were born to be chased by me, inside or out, and I'll find a way to do it. A secure fenced yard is a must for my fun and safety, and if I will have fur-brothers and -sisters, you might catch me telling them not to look at my food. (Oops!) Pick me for your best buddy on a trip, for I travel well in the car. If you noticed the top spot burn on my back, it is fully healed and fading, and doesn't bother me at all. "Hi, my name is Wilfred but Mum likes to call me Silly Willy because that's what I am and I really love it - I wiggle my whole backside when she calls me that! I love people, all people, ANY people who want to say hi to me, and I love nothing more in this world than to curl up on your lap. I will curl up as tight as possible to be sure you'll let me stay there, and give you a little kiss. When you put an arm around me, I feel so warm and protected, I fall sound asleep and my head will roll onto your arm, sometimes with my tongue out! Mum says it reminds her of Dad ... oops! I shouldn't have said that!"
Willy is a quiet, gentle, self-contained little boy. He does fine with other dogs when they approach him but doesn't seek interaction with them. He is a people person and a loving, unintrusive companion. Willy is on meds to control seizures, and has had only one since he started his meds. We'd like to find a special person who will bond with Willy (he bonds easily) and not be afraid to see him thru it if he experiences a seizure. Shorter absences rather than a long working day alone would be best for him. He will reward you with his very loving nature and the love in his eyes!

Archie: 4-5 yr old red male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 11", 9.8 lb. Rescued from shelter.
Archie is a calm, accepting, lovable and loving stag red minpin approx 4-5 years old with a winsome, character-filled personality. Crate-trained, almost fully housebroken and accepting a leash, Archie will bloom in a relatively low-key home with a secure fenced yard.
"Hi! I answer to the name Archie, but my alter ego secretly loves to be called NASCAR Archie! You see, as I got over my timidity around people, I learned how much fun it is to race a few laps around the kitchen table when I first come inside, then dive into my den and sit up on my hind legs for a treat. If Mum isn't waiting for me by my den when its time to go out, I'll do a few laps then too LOL! And when she picks me up? I flatten out and do my best immitation of a turtle! Mum LOVES this act! But my best trick is ... wait for it ... I purr when she holds me and tells me how good I am. It's just way cool to be me!"
Archie is comfortable sleeping in his crate, but we know he'd love to snuggle with his special person ... or two! He is a wonderful, entertaining cuddle companion.

Donner: 1 yr old black & rust male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 9", 7.9 lb. Shots up-to-date.
Donner is a one-year-old slender little black and rust male with docked tail, uncropped ears and an impish little face. He bounds like a deer across the yard and loves to play tag with other little dogs. He can turn on a dime, changing direction on the rebound and leaving his chasers to eat the proverbial dust. Donner came in with two other rescues from a puppy mill, terrified of people and desperate for food. His fear was so great that when picked up, he slumped completely limp as though paralyzed. Puppy resilience and a sweet shy nature have helped him come a long way -he clamors for a treat at my knee with the others, seeks attention and will get up on my lap with a little help. Donner has a very soft, silky coat and enjoys being stroked and scratched gently behind the ears. His crate is his den; he keeps it clean and is relieved to be fed there, away from others. For now he can only go to a home with no children and an adopter experienced in slow, progressive socialization and training. Secure fenced yard required. Donner still has a fresh, unspoiled puppy inside and has moved forward with no setbacks. We'd like to see that continue.

Dasher is a one-year-old slender little clear red male with all natural tail and ears. He bounds like a deer across the yard and loves to play tag with other little dogs. He'll tease and roll over on his back and beg & tease some more until they go after him, then he flips over and dashes away. With a mischievous look in those warm brown eyes and jaws parted slightly, he looks like he's laughing at us! Dasher came in with two other rescues from a puppy mill, terrified of people and desperate for food. He has come a long way - he'll sneak in and snitch food or a treat from my fingers and dance out of reach while the others are clamoring at my knee. He'll play with my hand behind me where he thinks I can't see him. And he has lost his rigidity when I pick him up. Dasher will come out of his den (crate) on his own and follow the path to the back door for potty, come back with the others, and dive in his den for food. He keeps it clean and is relieved to be fed there, away from others. Dasher isn't ready for a leash so a secure fenced yard is required. He is showing keen interest in people! For now he can only go to a home with no children and an adopter experienced in slow socialization and training. Dasher has moved forward more slowly than Donner but still has a fresh, unspoiled puppy inside. We'd like to draw him out.

Carson is a long-legged, gentle one-year old black and tan minpin emerging from the puppy stage. He came from a loving home with young children, already house-trained in many ways - he is easy on the home, gentle on the furniture, sleeps in his own bed, doesn't hog his food and doesn't bark. Wow - sounds like the Perfect Puppy already, huh? He is not fond of the crate although we are training him for his safety. Carson wags his tail and bows shyly to greet new friends of any age, both two-legged and four. Like any puppy, he'll tease to get other dogs to play with him. Sometimes he doesn't know when to stop, but is easily corrected. He gives a little enthusiastic bounce for a treat and prefers to be in the same room as his people. Carson is gentle approaching children and seems to have been treated gently by them. It also seems he is discovering laps and quickly developing velcro!

Calvin: 11 yr old chocolate male, neutered, docked tail and cropped ears. 12", 10 lb. Shots up-to-date. Rescued from shelter.
Calvin will win your heart with his cuteness. He has a mild temperament and adapts well to your household routine -- gets along fine with other dogs, large and small. He'll let you know when you are supposed to serve him his breakfast or dinner by getting in play position and wiggling and making noises to get your attention. He doesn?t bark, he makes funny noises instead! He loves to be petted but also has no problem snuggling with a blanket by himself on a chair across from you. He wants to be in the same room with you, however. Calvin sleeps in a crate at night. He recently had a thorough dental at the vet. He is missing some teeth but gets along fine without them. He would prefer a quiet household over a noisy one.

If you are looking for a nice dog that isn't a speck of trouble and is just a pleasure to have around then consider this handsome boy. Boris likes to be picked up and held and is absolutely silly when it comes to a squeaky toy. He pounces and tosses them into the air then runs off with it to tease the other dogs. Boris is also a gentleman and has great manners. He only barks when attention is needed, such as when he needs to go outside or someone is at the door. He loves to go for car rides and travels great. He enjoys long walks and a big yard to run in. He absolutely loves a good back scratching and petting. Boris is older but by no means "over the hill". His health is good and he has many years of love to give. Boris sleeps in his crate but I'm sure would love to share your bed. This is a wonderful, well-balanced min pin.

Meet these two sweet little sisters. They are perfect if you are looking for a pair of calm, laid back, easy going dogs. They are relaxed in social settings and good around other dogs. Their only encounter with a cat was with a kitten and they wanted it to be their newest squeaky toy. Actually they don't play with toys but do like to chew on the gigantic bones that belong to resident Mastiff. Brave little girls. : ) Their favorite thing to do is lay in the sun keeping one eye open to keep the yard free from squirrels and chipmunks. Both dogs sleep in the bed and enjoy sitting in our laps in the evening. These girls are perfect. We recommend they go to home without small children since they prefer a quiet home. Dakota: 3 yr old black & tan male, neutered, natural ears and tail, 12" tall, 10.5 lb. 99% Housetrained
Dakota is a sweet loving little boy who just wants to please. You won't find a more loyal companion and a better snuggle buddy than Dakota. He can be shy at first but soon warms up to you and will follow you around the house like a shadow. Dakota wants nothing more than to play with his toys (he likes to shake the life out of them) and be your permanent lap warmer. He is always the first one in bed at night and waits for you to get under the covers with him and snuggle. Dakota has a lot of energy so a fenced in backyard where he can run around would be preferred but when he comes in he wants to curl up next to you and give you lots and lots of kisses. Dakota loves to dance around on his hind legs through the house and will keep you laughing with his silly little antics. His favorite place in the house is when you are on the computer; he loves to squeeze in behind you on the chair and curl up for a nap. Dakota is not recommended for small children as he is full of min pin energy and will try to dart out the door when it is opened. We also recommend Dakota for a female only home due to his level of fear towards men. Dakota is very loving and will make a forever companion for whoever is lucky enough to have him. "Hi! My name is Izzie! My foster parents just love me and seem to laugh at me all the time! Some of my favorite things to do are play with the other dogs in the house, sun bath, go for long walks, and just LOVE to play with soft, squishy, squeaky toys! I just can't get enough of them! My parents laugh at me because I will just sit and stare at the toy chest waiting for them to magically come out to play with me! If you ever can't find me just look under the covers because I love to snuggle up! My foster parents tell me how beautiful I am every day! I guess I do have a nice shiny coat and the most beautiful eyes you have ever seen! They always reward me because I come when they call me...ok most of time, but I do sit, wait and lay down! I get along with all humans and I like children of all ages! Just make sure they are not too rough with me. I would really need a house with another dog to help me drain some of my energy and to help me adjust to my new home! I just love to play chase, hide and go seek and lie in the sun with my fur friends! I am the best of both worlds my foster parents say. I am really independent and don't need to be by anyone to be happy. I actually prefer that a lot, but I still like a good cuddle under a cozy blanket on the couch with my family every now and then! I like a good massage and a face rub, but usually when I'm relaxing! I just don't care to be petted all the time, but I will still love you! My parents say I walk great on a leash and would do best if I got at least one good long walk a day! They just love that I never go potty in the house and that I don't mind to be in my crate! All they have to say is "crate" and I just run right in! Well time to go lie in the sun with my friends. Doodle is the cutest tiniest little girl. She is very sweet and gets along well with other dogs. Misty is the sweetest most perfect little dog. She is so sweet and loving and loves to be near you. When you pick her up she will lay her little head on your shoulder. She is playful and energetic but not hyper. She gets along wonderfully with the other dogs and is even great with the cats and rabbits. Misty loves snuggle and will burrow under the covers at night to stay warm. She is absolutely precious.

Dominic: 2 yr old black & rust male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 12", 13 lb. Shots up-to-date.
Dominic is a very laid back easy going small min pin boy of about 13 lbs. He is black and rust with natural ears that stick out sort of like Dobbie in Harry Potter with an adorable face and a docked tail. He was rescued from one of the worst cases of animal cruelty - a puppy mill that allowed not only min pins but other breeds of dogs suffer horribly in very bad conditions. Dominic was treated for heartworms but has now had negative readings, so adoptable now. He has really come out of his shell and enjoyed playing with the other dogs as Dominic is pretty shy at first. He still cowers when you go to pick him up, but I think it is more his personality now as opposed to fear and very endearing in my opinion. Dominic would be perfect for a retired couple or a single person that wants a more laid back, but very affectionate little boy and would benefit from a nice yard because he loves the outdoors only when you are out with him. Also, he needs a routine with a stable home environment to feel secure. He is almost always very shy at first, but then becomes very demanding about cuddles and love. He needs ONLY positive reinforcement due to his past and responds really well to it. He sleeps with his foster mom in her bed and only has an open crate with a bed in it that he like to sleep in, so we don't know how he would respond in a closed crate. He is penned as opposed to crated. We tend to think that he would do better in a no very young kid, no-cat home and only with a more laid back dog of like temperment. He does chase the cats when given the opportunity in his foster home but does not attack if he catches them. The reason why we believe no very young kids is because he is very delicate and would not understand children that don't know their boundaries. Dominic is a sweet, loving little guy that reacts to every cuddle and pet.

Gracie: 5 yr old black & rust female, docked tail and beautiful natural ears. 14", 13 lb. Spayed, shots up-to-date, heartworm negative and on prevention.
Gracie is a special needs dog - she desperately needs someone special. Someone calm, confident, and who understands dogs and will let her feel safe. She came to us from a puppymill, pregnant and had five puppies. Its now two years later, and she needs a home of her own.
Because she was in a puppy mill, her social skills are on the low side - she is very shy of people, and it takes her a while to learn to trust and warm up. She needs a calm, patient, experienced human who is willing to let this girl blossom. She is intimidated by men, but is good with women. If allowed to do it in her own way, she will approach company in the house on her own, but is fearful of sudden movements toward her.
She loves to cuddle up next to her foster mom on the couch, likes neck massages, ears rubbed, and prefers to sleep in bed, under the covers, with her nose touching her person. She follows her foster mom and stays close - she likes to keep track of things!
She has a very playful, impish personality with the other dogs - loves to go zooming around the yard in a game of chase, or beat up on a stuffed dog toy - the larger the better. She's been seen trying to carry a dog bed out the doggie door so she can give it a good shake.
Even with her fear issues, she is willing to learn and is very bright and has learned some commands. We've been working on walking on a leash away from her yard. She's gotten much better and can go for a mile walk, but still prefers to have the company of one of her confident buddies to reassure her. Grace is amazingly athletic and can jump a 5 foot fence with ease, but all she wants is back in her yard where she feels safe. A secure yard, with a tall fence is a must.
She's not aggressive, gets along and loves to play with other dogs. She's not crazy about cats. She would do best in a home without children. It would help her if there is already a stable, calm dog in the family to model behavior for her. She is housebroken, will use a doggie door or pee pads.

"Hi My name is Razz Ma Tazz but my friends just call me Tazz. I was rescued after having a severely broken leg that had to be amputated. But don't worry, it does not slow me down a bit. In fact I get around better than some of the four legged min pins I know. I love to be petted and told what a good boy I am. I demand attention. Seriously! If you ignore me when I think I should be getting some quality lovin time, I will tap you with my pay or crawl up into your lap. My foster mom calls me a snake because of the way I get on my belly and crawl over to a waiting lap for a belly rub. My foster mom has four other min pins that I get along with but I am just as happy running throught the house with a squeak toy. Love them squeak toys. I like to sleep in the bed with my human the best so I can cuddle. But do not mind sleeping on a nice doggie pillow as long as I have a cozy blanket. Oh and did I mention I love Icee's? I'd drink right out of your cup if you let me. But if that is not something you would go for, I'll wait to share til you are through. I am very energetic and fun. "Hi, my name is JoJo and my foster mom tells me I am pretty special. Since I was rescued, I have learned to trust people again and have become a very loving companion. I currently live with three other min-pins sisters, just like me and we get along pretty good. We play and run, but for the most part, I just enjoy the quiet life. I follow my "mommy" everywhere and I sleep in the same room at night, but I don't like to sleep in the big bed. If I did that, I'd have to share with my three sisters, and they are real bed hogs. I like to sleep in my own comfy bed......yup, just me! I take special medication for my skin allergies, and heartworm preventative. Both of these are very important to keep me healthy. I would do well with another dog, but will do just fine if I become an only dog. I am crate and house trained, but I am allowed to have run of the house because I am so well behaved. Small children make me nervous so I would rather go to a home without them. I enjoy walks, going bye-bye, yum-yums and my food!! I talk when I get hungry and I get real excited to see my family when they come home at night! I am spayed, micro-chipped and am current on all my shots. Leah: 12 yr old red female, spayed, docked tail and uncropped, upright ears. 10", 8.5 lb. Shots up-to-date. Owner give-up.
Leah is a special needs dog. She is lively and playful and loves to be near her person. Leah was born with a condition called Leggs-Perthes Disease which destroys the hip joint. She has already had successful surgery to correct this very painful condition, and that leg is fully recovered with no problem. The other hind knee has developed severe arthritis, she walks with a slight limp and is active. Occasionally when it's cold she will take some pain medication for it, but mostly she has her Pet Wonder everyday and that is all she needs. Light exercise is good for her, but she needs a home that will be sure she gets her medication and not overstress her knee, she does love short walks. Leah is loyal and protective of her family, has a great appetite, is house broken. She has an underbite but has no trouble eating anything, and the vet said there was no concern there. Leah recently had her teeth cleaned and is very happy about that. She looks like a tiny red fox and is just as sweet as she can be. She knows how to use a doggie door. If you can give this little lady a home she will repay you with boundless amounts of love. She would be excellent for a retired person or an older person who is home a lot. She just loves to be a lap dog! She is quiet and would do fine in an apartment. She is good with other dogs (and has always had another dog with her), strangers, cats and children.

Stitch: 7 yr old black & tan male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 15 lb. Shots up-to-date.
Stitch is a sweet min pin with lot of energy! He plays really well with our other 3 min pins, and is good around our 2 year old daughter. We think he would be happy as both an only dog or in a home with other dogs like ours, but he does tend to get a little jealous when any other dog is getting petting or attention! He will run over and try get in on the cuddles too. Stitch likes to play fetch, loves to snuggle and be petted, and is quite a licker. He loves to jump into the lap of just about anyone who comes over to visit. We call him Stitch because he has hair missing along his body in a few places - it doesn't bother him though. He is housebroken and crate trained, and he knows a few basic commands. Think he might be a match for you? He hopes so!!

I was born with deformed hind legs, but believe me they don't slow me down, I can run and play with the best of them! Once you see me go you'll forget that anything is wrong with me. I really love to spend time with my person, and would be best suited for someone who wants to spend lots of time with me, loving me. Looking for a pocket dog? Zipper is your man! Not often do we get into care one so tiny with such a huge personality. Zipper is full of energy and in great health. You will find that he is a very happy boy who is crate trained and loves to eat. For one so tiny, he can be very demanding. Zippy would do best in a predominantly female home where he can get a lot of one on one. He was used as a breeder and was not socialized well. However, once he warms up to you, he is your buddy for life. Typical of the MinPin personality, you are here to meet his every desire and need..:) Because he weighs in at a mere 4 1/2 pounds, he will need a very secure yard and will not be able to be left unattended. We are working on potty issues, but all in all, he does very well. Zipper is most secure with other dogs to play with and will need to be placed into a home with at least one other dog with a soft touch. This is not to imply that he doesn't play hard. For a little tyke, he's quite the little rough-houser.
If you're looking for a tiny piece of chocolate in your life, then Zipper is definitely up for the challenge. He will warm up slowly, but it will be so worth it. Zipper is now accepting applications for his perfect home.

This adorable little all natural fella is just beyond precious! He's just a pup at 1 - 1.5 years old and already he is cowering way more than a young pup or any dog should ever have to. He's just as sweet as he can be and probably has some latin roots. This sweetheart needs someone that will give him nothing but positive reinforcement and within reason spoil him rotten for the rest of his days. He probably will be fine with kids as soon as he gets his spirit back but may be startled by very young children right now. Some patience, tolerance, good obedience training that is recommended especially for any young dog, loving kindness will make this very special little guy the best he can be! He currently sleeps in the crate but would love to sleep in bed with his human as well and seems to really enjoy the company of other dogs. Right now, he's really seeking a lot of reassurance from his human....but his confidence will build. Meet the amazing Radar! Anything any other dog can do, he can do blind! Yes, he’s blind and says so what? He has no problem navigating and learning a new layout. He uses a dog door and loves to stalk squirrels. He walks great on a leash.
Radar is in excellent health and very active. He does recieve daily supplements for arthritis - very inexpensive and effective. As long as he’s on his supplements, he has no issues with arthritis.
Radar has moves - dance moves! Ask him to give you a spin and he will stand on his hind legs and give you a twirl (anything for a treat). He comes when called and knows “sit.” Radar also excels at cuddling, going for car rides and walks, and snuggling under the blankets. He can jump from the floor into your lap without missing a beat. He’s well behaved with lots of spunk!
Radar has been cat-tested and approved by a panel of resident felines, he’s also friendly and non-aggressive with other dogs and loves people. He’s one of the sweetest little guys ever to enter this home.

Snoopy is a 10 year old docked and red boy with natural standing ears. He's got the most precious face and is as affectionate as they come - in fact we call him a 'Velcro' dog. He will never be a big eater and has remained quite thin I believe in part because he's very active when it is playtime. Food just doesn't seem to interest him much. He loves toys and other active dogs. But the thing he loves most of all is to cuddle with his human. It's hard to believe that he is 10 because there is no gray hair on him, and he's so active. Snoopy's past is that he lived his entire life outdoors until a very dear friend and co-rescuer took him in and ended up adopting this sweet soul. When she passed away, he came to live eventually with me. Snoopy will need a very loving family with probably older kids on up and possibly another dog if the dog is maybe younger and more active but he would be okay as an only dog as he is more a human's dog than a dog's dog. The more hours his humans are at home, the better. Any of our dogs even an older dog like Snoop need some basic obedience training. This is one precious boy.

Belle Star II, "Belle" to us is truely a southern lady. Belle had spent the past 6 years with two different breeders until she was surrendered to a local Humane Society. Belle is extremely gentle in nature. She is getting along well with my minpins and our 3 small children (all under 5). She enjoys being outside treeing squirells and looking soulfully at the humans in the house. When invited up on the couch she will curl up with all members of our family. Belle crates well. We are working on the command "crate".
We are also working walking on a leash. Belle is a bright girl. She figured out how to use the doggie door by watching. Belle is looking forward to having a forever family of her very own! She is a special needs dog as she is totally deaf, otherwise she is in great health.

"How about a little Punkin Pie? That's my name and I'm just as sweet and delicious as pumpkin pie! My foster mom says my coat is beautiful and shiny and I'm an all natural girl. I'm a 3 month old min-chi that is pretty tiny and super cute! The animal control people saw me and my sister walking along a country road. We were just checking out the scenery cuz we're pretty adventurous. When we got to the shelter, the shelter workers had their kids holding us and playing with us - so we loove kids! My sister got adopted from the shelter, but I got rescued by the nice IMPS people. I just had my first set of puppy shots and didn't even make a sound cuz I'm VERY brave! Right now I have a roomie named Trekker that is also 3 months old but lots bigger than me and we LOVE each other! He's going to his Foster-to-Adopt home the end of this month so he can complete his shots and stuff there. I'm SO going to miss him as we play with toys together, run together - zoomies are fun!& We also sleep together. Tessa is a beautiful, muscular tan female with a disposition that exceeds her beauty. Her previous owners took excellent care of her as she is in great health and shows no signs of being mistreated. Tessa knows how to sit pretty for treats, walks well on a harnessed leash, rides well in the car, is house trained and trained to sleep in her bed (but prefers to sleep with you if allowed). Tessa is currently fostered with two other minpins whom she gets along with just fine, but I can tell she prefers the company of humans more than dogs. Tessa will be best suited in a home where she can be a true companion. If you work long hours and have a very busy schedule, she is not the dog for you.

"Hello you wonderful people!!!! My name is Libby. I am a 9 month old red miniature pinscher girl. I stand 12-inches tall and weigh 12 pounds. I have natural ears and a natural tail. I am so happy to be alive!!!! Isn't life great? It is for me now, especially when you consider the experiences I have had so far in my young life. I was abandoned as a small puppy and taken to the shelter. Why I was abandoned, I don't know. I was quickly adopted by a lady who thought puppies were cute. However, she was not experienced at having a puppy in the home and would beat me when I would have an accident in the home. I was just a puppy. One day, she lost her temper and kicked me in the back leg really hard and took me back to the shelter and left me there. The shelter took care of my hurt leg and it has healed up nicely now. I was then adopted to another family when I was 6 months old. The woman's boyfriend was really mean to me and used to hurt me and then spank me when I would try to defend myself or get away. I was only a puppy. I was trapped in a very bad situation with a very mean man. The woman took me back to the shelter and said she didn't like me. I don't know what I had done to make people be so mean to me. I was scared and alone and had never really known a safe and secure home. I didn't think there were any nice people in the world. Then this nice man from IMPS came and took me home. All the way to his house, he held me in his lap and told me how pretty I was and how much he loved me and would take care of me. What a wonderful thing to hear!!!!! This man didn't even know me and he could see I was really a good dog who just needed to be loved. He calls me Libby and sings this weird song about "When it says Libby Libby Libby on the Label Label Label........" He is goofy but he is kind and gives me hugs and kisses all the time. And he has other puppies at his house. I was a little nervous at first, but now I just play and play with them. I have not had any problems with house training because he lets me out on a regular basis and tells me what a good girl I am when I go potty outside. It is so good to finally be able to be a puppy and not be scared!!!! I would love a home for Christmas. It would be like a Christmas Miracle!!!! Can you be my miracle maker and give me a home?"

"Hello there!!! My name is Monty. I am a 10 month old puppy. I weigh about 10 pounds and stand about 11 inches tall. I have a docked tail and natural ears that stand up straight. My foster Dad says the name Monty means "BIG FREAKING EARS" in Swahili. I wonder why he would say that? My foster Dad is so weird, he said he was going to cancel his cable and just use my ears to pick up satellite signals. I was a discarded by a breeder because no one bought me and I was no longer cute. What are they talking about...it don't get no cuter than Monty. Instead, they just drove out to the end of a road and dropped me off. I was scared. I ran from house to house to house looking for shelter. Most people just yelled at me and chased me off. One mean man took a shot at me with a BB gun. It was cold and rainy and I was miserable. All I wanted was a warm place to sleep. Puppies don't have a lot of insulation, you know. Finally some nice people took me to a shelter where a rescue volunteer pulled me and kept me warm. She contacted the nice people from IMPS and they came and picked me up. Now, I get to play with other puppies and I get to snuggle under a blanket. I am working really hard on my house training and almost have it mastered. It is hard since I never had anyone try to teach me when I was little. My foster Dad is so patient with me and says I will be the perfect little man in no time at all. I would love to stay with my Foster Dad forever but he says I deserve a home all to myself so I can have what he calls undivided attention. Don't know what that means, but it sure sounds great. Can you give me the love and attention I need? I hope so."

All I want is to please my master. Problem is.....I need a master. I stand 13 inches tall at the withers and weigh 15 pounds. I am solid muscle with a docked tail and cropped ears. I am picture perfect. No one knows how I ended up in a shelter about to be put down and I will never be able to tell my story. One thing is for certain; it is not because I am aggressive or have a bad disposition or that I misbehave. None of those things is true. As well cared for as I am, it can only be surmised that I became lost and never found my way home. Unfortunately, I was not chipped at the time. Now I am chipped so I can always find my way home. I am ready to assume my duties as man's best friend, loyal companion, beloved friend, and partner in crime. I take my duties seriously and will never dishonor my oath of dogfice. When I was a puppy, a man bought me for a lot of money because my parents, their parents, their parents and their parents are registered min-pins. He even got a paper to prove it! However, he got tired of me after only 2 years and dropped me off at a kill shelter along with my registration papers! Most people don't understand that dogs whose owners give them up are put to sleep first because they know no one is looking for them. They tried to find me a home, but they were so crowded they were going to have to make room one way or the other. These nice people with IMPS found out that my time on earth was limited just because someone threw me away!! They are my heroes! My foster mom rushed to the shelter, took me in her arms, loved and kissed me and told me I would never be in a place like this again because they would make sure I was taken care of for the rest of my life!! Wow, am I lucky!! She took me to the vet and made sure I was ok, then took me to her house and let me meet the other lucky dogs who live in her house!! This is a really great place and I am loved more than I ever have been. However, I know that there is someone else out there who is looking for a perfect little 2 year old boy like me. "Hi, I'm Thomas wanna play? I am just a pup at 1-1.5 years old. I stand around 13 inches tall and weigh about 15 pounds. I am micro-chipped, fully vetted (no I didn't serve in the army,hee hee - my shots are up-to-date), I receeived a very clean bill of health, I'm housebroken (no I'm not a burglar - I don't potty in the house), oh yeah I wwas rescued from shelter. No one knows how I ended up in a shelter about to be put down. One thing is for certain; it is not because I am aggressive or have a bad disposition or that I misbehave. None of those things are true. I have a heart as big as Texas. I love belly and head rubs. I am laid back when relaxing, but when it's playtime I can be very active. I am Really Athletic. It must be because when I was getting my min pin parts, I stood in the leg line twice, so my legs are a little longer and my body is a little bigger than your average min pin. I use my athletic legs to play chase with my foster siblings. All I want is to please my master. Problem is...I need a master. I need someone that will give me nothing but positive reinforcement and within reason spoil me rotten to the core or just for the rest of my days...lol! I think I will be fine with kids, as long as they are ok with my leaps and bounds because I love to run and jump. I can sleep in the crate or my bed, but would much rather sleep in bed with my human; I know I will enjoy the company (wink). I have very inquisitive eyes and an eager disposition. I am solid muscle. I am picture perfect. Now, I am ready to assume my duties as mans best friend."

"Greetings, My name is Lily but I will also answer to Your Highness, Madam or Diva as well. The saying, "great things come in small packages", was specifically written for me. While I may be slightly full of myself, highly opinionated and a tad on the demanding side, I make up for it by being a six pound bundle of loving energy.
Although I find it rude to talk about age my foster mom says we must let people know how old I am, so while I say I'm not a day over one she thinks I'm closer to three. My foster mom says I'm very good about going outside to potty. I like other dogs my size if they are mellow and like to play my way, I tolerate the others. Kids are ok as long as they know who is in charge and can resist grabbing me.
I'll be honest, what I'm really looking for is a lap to curl up on, preferably with a nice soft blanket to burrow in, we can make a game out of it to see who moves first, (I will win). I give lots of kisses and will rub my face all over your face and neck much like a cat.

Romeo is working on his manners and potty training. It would appear that he was kept outside, even in the snow, which is how he came to IMPS. He is a quick learner, and wants to please, but is still learning his way around living in a home - the stairs in particular are a challenge for him. He is an active boy, and likes to wrestle with the 3 other MinPins and a bulldog who live here. He is very playful and affectionate.
Update 3/20: Romeo is now crate-trained, house-trained, and leash-trained. He has to wear mandog diapers in the house still due to "marking". He is a Super dog, good with kids, dogs, people, wonderful temperment. Likes to snuggle in bed at night.

Teddy is a cute little fellow who has been down on his luck and needs someone to love him and give him a second chance to have the good life he deserves. He is a handsome little guy who will sit in the typical MinPin stance with his little paw raised to 'shake'. Unlike many Pins, Teddy is very quiet, plus he walks well on a leash. Update 8/3/11: Teddy is a new man since he had a dental and has had his ear infections treated! Redgie: 4 yr old red male, neutered, docked tail and cropped ears. Shots up-to-date.
Redgie is a sweet dog. He is gentle, docile and plays well with others! He is inquisitive, a bit skittish -- not shocking considering he was found wandering alone in the woods -- but energetic and happy to be part of a family. He doesn't like being left out, and will wimper, but he doesn't bark or cause problems. He is currently resting after being neutered, but is happy to go on walks and outside. He is new to a leash, but learns new commands very quickly.
Redgie is extremely gentle and has shown zero agression. He is curious and lively, but has only barked once, when he was in his carrier and I walked through a gate to start the car. He may have been abandoned by his owner, and therefore might be afraid of being left again.

Brunolito: 2 yr old chocolate & rust male, neutered, undocked tail and uncropped ears. 14.5", 14 lb. Shots up-to-date. Rescued from shelter.
Brunolito is a beautiful medium-sized chocolate & rust boy who was picked up as a stray. He appears to have been outside for awhile as his coat is lightened from the sun.
Brunolito is extremely peppy and bounces like a kangaroo! He has a beautiful MinPin gait, and runs like the wind around the enclosed yard. He is sweet and affectionate, likes to stand by you and have his head and ears rubbed. He does not appear to have ever lived inside as housetraining, leashwalking, and basic commands are totally new to him.
Brunolito needs a family who will see that he gets lot of daily exercise and a home with a securely enclosed yard for him to run. He would also enjoy another peppy dog to play with.
Brunolito will need obedience classes as a condition of his adoption.... they will help this young fellow learn to be a great family member!

"Hi, my name is Ellie-Mae, the whole name thing is confusing me a bit as when I came to live with these humans they started calling me Ellie and then another guy started with the whole Ellie-Mae thing (he seemed to get a laugh from it, so I guess I am ok with it), my previous people called me Ellianna, not sure why the change, but I like Ellie Mae as long as they keep feeding me! I came to live with these foilks because of a change in circumstances at my old place, spent a few weeks living in a boarding kennel before a nice lady sprung me and brought me here. I had a bit of a rough start, I was pregnant and my babies didn't make it, so I stayed here for a while to gain some weight and get settled a bit before the humans submitted me to this web site (what's a web site?). a few months ago a little lady came to stay for a while that came from a similar situation and after her babies were born, she let me mother them just a bit (not as much as I wanted) but that really helped me get back to my old perky self! Now she has moved on to her new humans and her babies have as well, so now I'm thinking it's my turn! Not that I don't like it here, lots of good food, a warm human to curl up with at night and some friends to play with, but come on now, I want a human of my own, this sharing amongst 8 of your closest friends and frenemies is for the birds. Speaking of birds, did you know that a dedicated hunter can catch birds even if she is a dog, not a cat? Just have to be able to climb the tree a bit and catch them off guard! The humans here were not real amused, apparently the bird feeders were not put there just to encourage a birdy buffet to show up for me. I love to run and chase anything that moves, but also love to snuggle in front of a nice warm fire, take long walks on the beach, stare at the moon wait, wrong bio, but I do like warm fires and would enjoy long runs with a human, have I mentioned I like to run? I met some nice kids the other night and seemed to recall that I used to live with a few of my own so I think I would enjoy some to play with now as well. What I want most is to be able to settle into a home of my own forever with good humans to take care of."

Ellie is a bit more rough and tumble than some of the min-pins we have had here and while not large, is a bit leggier than some as well. Ellie absolutely loves to cuddle up in your lap and nap, but also loves to run around the yard. She will jump in the car in a heartbeat to go for a ride if you leave the door open. Will chase birds, squirrels or any other small animal that she finds (and sometimes catches them, birds included). Her favorite place to sleep is right next to me, sometimes under the covers, sometimes on top, but always nearby. One of her favorite places to curl up for a nap during the day if no lap is available is in front of the fireplace when we have a nice fire going. Like most min-pins I have had through the house, given the opportunity she will run, so a good fence is a must. In her case she would probably enjoy someone who goes for runs around the neighborhood.

Chili is a mellow fellow who just wants to be loved. He needs someone who is at home with him to let him out to potty. He is housetrained, but doesn't like being left alone all day. He is crate trained, in fact, he likes to hang out in his crate - his own little dog cave. He knows ssome basic commands, such as sit, stay, go outside.

Meet Doobie! This little boy needs his forever home. He has only had one owner since he was a puppy. Doobie's owner lost her home and was very sad that circumstances forced her to give him up. He has been well loved and cared for -- she even rocked him to sleep. We are determined to find an equally loving home for him. Can you find it in your heart to open up your home? Do you have a child who would love this young dog? Can you promise to treat him with loving kindness? He is shy at first, but warms up with love and kindness. He likes to be close to his people and he sits on my lap while typing. He likes to share a chair with his person. Corby is a feisty redhead with a silliness and a zest for life! He is looking for someone with min pin experience or someone dedicated to working with his quirks. Corby is a sweet little boy but he also has a sassy side. He loves his foster brothers and he would love to go to a home with a well adjusted dog as a playmate. His forever home must have a fenced in yard and no cats please. No small children recommended.
Corby is fully potty trained. He is kennel trained and must be kenneled when you leave him at any time. He tends to get into trouble when left to roam. He is very curious and makes everything "his business". He loves to snuggle under the blankets and give lots of kisses!

Meet Missy Poo! The sweetest most loving Momma dog there is! She has had a tough live living confined to a dog run being bred time and time again her whole life, but this will be her last litter. Now she can retire and enjoy the luxuries other dogs take for granted... couches, sleeping under the covers, toys... she LOVES her toys! Missy is very sweet. She loves getting scratches and belly rubs. When you stop she will raise her paw up to wave you back for more. She can be a bit timid in new situations, but adjusts quickly. She gets along great with other dogs and completely ignores the cat. She avoids kids and would prefer they avoid her. Because of this she is not recommended for a family with with children under 12. She is leashed trained and does go for walks, but she is not used to pottying while leashed so she needs to go to a home with a securely fenced in yard that is directly accessed from the house. Willow is a beautiful girl that came from a puppy mill. Willow had her last litter in December and after raising her puppies and seeing them off to better lives then she ever dreamed of it's finally her turn to find a family. Willow is a great lady that can be reserved at first but it's just a ploy....when you least expect it she claims your lap and expects to own it for hours at a time. Willow is doing great with house training but will have a shaky start in a new home. Willow is crate trained and ready for a life of being treasured. Are you willing to offer her that life?

Carly: 6 yr old stag red female, spayed, docked tail and cropped ears. 13", 12 lb. Shots up-to-date.
Carly is a sweet girl that came into rescue from a puppy mill where she was forced to have litter after litter. Her last litter was in December of last year and now that she's raised her beautiful puppies and given them the best start to life she could offer it's her turn to find her forever home. Carly is doing very well with her house training, is great with other dogs and cats, and truly has every intention of leaving that other life behind. She would probably prefer a home with another dog, as most puppy mill dogs do. She is fearful around children and chooses to ignore them. Carly has a cute underbite not too different from many Pug's or Boston's I've met but it just adds to how cute she is. Consider giving this wonderful lady a home and she'll make sure you have all the love you need for the rest of her years with you.

Mayzee was turned into Chicago Animal Control by her previous owner for unknown reasons. She is living the good life now! She LOVES to cuddle with any human that will have her on their lap. She likes to play with other small dogs, although she can be choosy about her dog friends but when she does play it is adorable! She likes kids but can be touchy about her collar so we will not adopt her to a home with kids under 10 years old. She is crate trained and potty trained. Her foster mom will have a hard time seeing her go because Mayzee is such a great cuddler, but foster mom is excited for Mayzee to have a family all her own!

Gretta: 5 yr old black & tan female, to be spayed 8/16, docked tail and uncropped ears. 13", 15 lb. Found as a stray.
Gretta is an extremely loving dog. She gives out tons of kisses and loves to snuggle on the couch. She has gotten along with her Min Pin foster brothers and sister and all the humans in the house, man, woman, and 11 year old child. She leaves our cat alone, but I suspect she would chase a scaredy cat. Gretta goes right in her crate when asked and is quiet while kenneled up at night. She is a smart girl & knows "sit". She will need an attentive owner who will stay on top of her potty training. Gretta may have been bred at one point and I suspect she had a heavy handed owner since she is quick to flinch when a quick movement startles her, but I would not describe her as fearful. She is fun, silly and playful at times. This girl has a lot of love to give and just needs a family to share it with. Hurry and fill out an adoption application so that you can snatch this girl up.

Mindy - "ADOPTION PENDING": 6 yr old black & tan female, spayed, docked tail and cropped ears. A little over 5 lb. Shots up-to-date. Rescued from shelter.
Mindy is a healthy, tiny girl at a little over 5lbs. She's the size of a small dinner plate when she's all curled up. She's just getting used to living in a house with a family. She loves other dogs and initiates play with them no matter what size- she's a fearless girl. Her favorite place to be is curled up on your lap- whether you're on the computer or in a lawnchair. She attaches easily & wants to be with you where ever you are. We put her bed on the chair next to us and she'll sleep with one eye open so she won't miss anything. She loves car rides, and sits contently watching the world go by. She's a "take anywhere" kind of dog. You'd never guess her age, as she's so playful and fun. We're working on her potty training & her commands, and she would LOVE to go to school and learn more. She does great in a pack, is curious of cats but not aggressive, and we'll test her behavior with children as time goes on. She does growl a bit when she's under the covers if she feels another dog is going to step on her, but she's so tiny that it's her defense mechanism. She doesn't need a big yard- running's not her thing. As long as you're ready to walk her frequently- short walks are fine for Mindy. She protests loudly in a kennel, and doesn't like to be contained. She's had a hard life, judging by the tiny holes in her ears where her ID tags were at the puppy mill, and she shows her appreciation for everything you do for her. She would be a joy for anyone with dogs and/or cats, and perfect for the quiet person or family- content to be a couch potato. Think about adding her to your pack today!

Toci (short for Touch of Class): 2 yr old black & tan female, docked tail and uncropped ears. 13 lb. Rescued from shelter.
Toci came to us pregnant from an animal control facility in Illinois where her owner turned her and Zac in because he didn't have enough time and money for them. Toci is very sweet, loves all people she meets, loves to play with other dogs, especially likes to cuddle with other dogs (just the other day we caught her curled up with a greyhound!), and sleeps under the covers like a normal Min Pin. She deserves a great home after she gives birth to her babies!

Ganon is quite the stoic looking gentleman with his slightly larger stature, cropped ears, and shiny fur. He is a busy boy - wants to be near you and any other dogs and see what you are doing. Penny Pink Blackbell (Penny): black & tan female puppy (DOB 9-21-2011), undocked tail and uncropped ears.
Penny was the first born on the morning of September 21st. She is the smallest of the three pups, but a very healthy and strong girl. The pups are being raised in a home environmnt where they will have lots of love and attention. Follow the pups progress and see lots of pictures and videos of them by becoming friends with "Imps Wisc" on Facebook.com. Puppies will be ready to go to their new homes mid December 2011. Penny's new owner will be responsible for getting her spayed by March 21st, 2012. She will also be required to attend an obedience class with her new owners by June of 2012. Angel is a petite little thing. She loves her people but could do without the other dogs in the house. She prefers to have all the attention so she would be best as an only child. She loves to be covered up with blankets while she snuggles and she does the cutest little butt wiggle when she is excited. This girl loves to give loving to her people. Marley has a natural tail and adorable floppy, almost button, ears. She loves all people she meets, including kids. She can be choosy about what dogs she likes here at the doggy daycare where she spends her days, but she does like to play with other small dogs. She will curl up with any dog who is on or near a blanket or a bed. She prefers to be by her people at all times, but we are working on her crate training (she is almost there, just a little bit of barking when you first leave). Vanessa is an adorable little lady. She get so excited to go out for walks that she bounces against the other dog on the walk and does spins, but she doesn't pull on leash. She is crate-trained and house-trained. She enjoys other dogs of all sizes (her best friends are Min Pins, but next in line is a Duck Trolling Retriever). She is a little shy with new people and handling with clothes being put on her, but 5 minutes into meeting you she will be begging for you to pick her up. Those big ears will suck you in! Clark Kent: 3 yr old red male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 8 lb. Shots up-to-date. Rescued from shelter.
Meet Clark Kent, a.k.a. Superman! Clark came to Chicago Animal Control as a stray, and looked like something straight out of an ASPCA commercial - extremely emaciated, ears frostbitten to the point of missing small chunks, not a lot of hair left (that's the first thing to go when dogs are starving). But boy is he sweet - loves people unconditionally and instantly, loves other dogs and doesn't mind cats, is crate-trained. We found out from our vet here in Madison that Clark is heartworm positive, with a very early detection because his infection is very light. He is currently undergoing treatment and we expect him to make a full recovery. It will be a tough road for him, and even if you don't adopt him, please take his story to heart and keep your dog on a heartworm preventative! We named him Clark Kent because he might be a skinny little guy now but he will be a nice strong superhero some day!

Romeo: 2-4 yr old red male, neutered, docked tail and uncropped ears. 15", 16 lb. Shots up-to-date. Found as a stray.
"I am a very sweet boy. I like people, but am shy at first. I like all dogs so I can play, play, play, and I love toys and to snuggle, and I love treats when I am good, oh and I can jump really really high."
Romeo is working on his manners and potty training. It would appear that he was kept outside, even in the snow, which is how he came to IMPS. He is a quick learner, and wants to please, but is still learning his way around living in a home - the stairs in particular are a challenge for him. He is an active boy, and likes to wrestle with the 3 other MinPins and a bulldog who live here. He is very playful and affectionate.
Update 3/20: Romeo is now crate-trained, house-trained, and leash-trained. He has to wear mandog diapers in the house still due to "marking". He is a Super dog, good with kids, dogs, people, wonderful temperment. Likes to snuggle in bed at night.

Redgie: 4 yr old red male, neutered, docked tail and cropped ears. Shots up-to-date.
Redgie is a sweet dog. He is gentle, docile and plays well with others! He is inquisitive, a bit skittish -- not shocking considering he was found wandering alone in the woods -- but energetic and happy to be part of a family. He doesn't like being left out, and will wimper, but he doesn't bark or cause problems. He is currently resting after being neutered, but is happy to go on walks and outside. He is new to a leash, but learns new commands very quickly.
Redgie is extremely gentle and has shown zero agression. He is curious and lively, but has only barked once, when he was in his carrier and I walked through a gate to start the car. He may have been abandoned by his owner, and therefore might be afraid of being left again.

Brunolito: 2 yr old chocolate & rust male, neutered, undocked tail and uncropped ears. 14.5", 14 lb. Shots up-to-date. Rescued from shelter.
Brunolito is a beautiful medium-sized chocolate & rust boy who was picked up as a stray. He appears to have been outside for awhile as his coat is lightened from the sun.
Brunolito is extremely peppy and bounces like a kangaroo! He has a beautiful MinPin gait, and runs like the wind around the enclosed yard. He is sweet and affectionate, likes to stand by you and have his head and ears rubbed. He does not appear to have ever lived inside as housetraining, leashwalking, and basic commands are totally new to him.
Brunolito needs a family who will see that he gets lot of daily exercise and a home with a securely enclosed yard for him to run. He would also enjoy another peppy dog to play with.
Brunolito will need obedience classes as a condition of his adoption.... they will help this young fellow learn to be a great family member!

"Hi, my name is Ellie-Mae, the whole name thing is confusing me a bit as when I came to live with these humans they started calling me Ellie and then another guy started with the whole Ellie-Mae thing (he seemed to get a laugh from it, so I guess I am ok with it), my previous people called me Ellianna, not sure why the change, but I like Ellie Mae as long as they keep feeding me! I came to live with these foilks because of a change in circumstances at my old place, spent a few weeks living in a boarding kennel before a nice lady sprung me and brought me here. I had a bit of a rough start, I was pregnant and my babies didn't make it, so I stayed here for a while to gain some weight and get settled a bit before the humans submitted me to this web site (what's a web site?). a few months ago a little lady came to stay for a while that came from a similar situation and after her babies were born, she let me mother them just a bit (not as much as I wanted) but that really helped me get back to my old perky self! Now she has moved on to her new humans and her babies have as well, so now I'm thinking it's my turn! Not that I don't like it here, lots of good food, a warm human to curl up with at night and some friends to play with, but come on now, I want a human of my own, this sharing amongst 8 of your closest friends and frenemies is for the birds. Speaking of birds, did you know that a dedicated hunter can catch birds even if she is a dog, not a cat? Just have to be able to climb the tree a bit and catch them off guard! The humans here were not real amused, apparently the bird feeders were not put there just to encourage a birdy buffet to show up for me. I love to run and chase anything that moves, but also love to snuggle in front of a nice warm fire, take long walks on the beach, stare at the moon wait, wrong bio, but I do like warm fires and would enjoy long runs with a human, have I mentioned I like to run? I met some nice kids the other night and seemed to recall that I used to live with a few of my own so I think I would enjoy some to play with now as well. What I want most is to be able to settle into a home of my own forever with good humans to take care of."

Ellie is a bit more rough and tumble than some of the min-pins we have had here and while not large, is a bit leggier than some as well. Ellie absolutely loves to cuddle up in your lap and nap, but also loves to run around the yard. She will jump in the car in a heartbeat to go for a ride if you leave the door open. Will chase birds, squirrels or any other small animal that she finds (and sometimes catches them, birds included). Her favorite place to sleep is right next to me, sometimes under the covers, sometimes on top, but always nearby. One of her favorite places to curl up for a nap during the day if no lap is available is in front of the fireplace when we have a nice fire going. Like most min-pins I have had through the house, given the opportunity she will run, so a good fence is a must. In her case she would probably enjoy someone who goes for runs around the neighborhood.
